Remixing Hybrid Theory, their own album!, seemed wild at the time but I was absolutely floored by it. Linkin Park got me through literally all of junior high and high school. Chester was one of my idols.

There are certain songs that are iconic to say the least within Linkin Park's discography, and "In the End" is most definitely a very big one! But the mv for this is also within itself iconic as well. Plus I completely enjoyed all of your reaction so far, but that being said I highly suggest watching the mv's and live performances also. Because, well... just trust me, you'll understand after watching them live, its just a experience on another level. I was so very blessed to have seen them live! And though it was quite long ago now, and my memory isn't the greatest in certain ways, seeing them live is something that holds dear to my heart. The rapper by the way is Mike Shinoda. And yes he is a real rapper. Mike has a solo side project which is more hip hop based, is maybe how some might described it. But you definitely may like some of that music as well. Hope you are enjoying yourself, and I'm not sure if you picked the bonus edition to listen to or not, but the bonus Hybrid Theory has an amazing song called "My December" on it. Mike wrote it. That song is one of their more slow songs, but it is absolutely beautiful in many, many ways. It is still one of my very favorite songs from them!!! Chester's voice is always incredible, but in that song, it is...... I mean wow 😯 Well, besides that, I'm not sure I have very many words to describe it this very moment, but only because I feel like the words to accurately describe how incredible it is just aren't coming to me in any way right now. So let's just say it is ❄️hauntingly ❄️❄️❄️❄️beautiful ❄️ and I would say, near perfect!!❄️

I was 19 when I bought this album in 2000 on a Friday night at the record store with my best friend. We drove through the city for HOURS taking this album in several times. We laughed. We cried. We got the goosebumps. This album changed everything for me and it changed me. To this day it is my number one album of all time.

This album is one of a few that got me through my teen years back in the late 90s early 2000s. I had a lot going on and life was pretty crappy but this band, korn and disturbed to name a few helped me feel understood and not so alone! Super happy that you are discovering these amazing bands ❤️

Meteora changed my life as a teen. “ A Thousand Suns” is another superb album from them although not as good as the aforementioned. Controversial opinion however, “Waiting For The End” is probably my fave Linkin Park song and i would love for you to hear it and let me know your thoughts. Cheers, Dunc. 👍🏻
