so this is rough, and i'm still coming to terms with it myself.
the extent to which this was decisive was unexpected, right?
i mean, everything is an information bubble, but the polls showed a lot of promise, didn't they?
is there anything she could have done better?
is there anything he could have done worse?
does it even matter if it doesn't reach the tons of people who were surprised to see that biden was not the candidate?

so my takeaway from tonight is this:
we just don't know.

i see a lot of people jumping to extremes:
women's rights will be stripped.
gay rights will be eroded.
trans rights will be obliterated.

maybe.
but also we've already been here.
we got through 4 years, and all indications show that the orange man himself is not doing great.
will they even be able to implement everything they want to?
will we not fight like hell all the way down?

we lost the battle; too many wars rage on.

although it has implications, let's not make this harder on ourselves by jumping ahead of the reality.
