v0.43.0a Patch Released!
Added 2021-08-03 09:57:14 +0000 UTCI've released a patch for LR2 v0.43.0 which fixes several critical bugs, primarily serums being incorrectly applied to people resulting in crashes and inconsistent character locations.
You can find the downloads to the new version here: LR2 v0.43.0 Release
If you have already downloaded v0.43.0 there is also a patch file that does not contain the game images. Unzip this file so the contents override the contents of the /game folder.
This patch should be save compatible.

2021-08-05 16:34:55 +0000 UTCApart from the bugs, I really like the new system. It makes developing serums a lot more critical, and lets you impact nearly every characteristic. Hair styling is one option I'd still like to see added, possibly as another GF interaction? Or even as a date like with shopping.

2021-08-04 08:02:23 +0000 UTCThe only game-breaking drawback to the current version that I've noticed is an alarmingly large number of non-specific crashes-to-desktop with no error logs. It might just be my system, however. Anyone else noticing this? EDIT: While not game-breaking, there seem to be a lot of opinion-specific responses that have broken with the new system, at least for mom and Lily.

2021-08-04 05:07:02 +0000 UTCThe "Bad Influence" goal is currently bugged (perhaps because the mechanic of converting temporary sluttiness into permanent sluttiness has been deprecated). +Sluttiness serums may also be bugged for the same reason. For the record: higher love is reliable in generating temporary sluttiness.

2021-08-04 04:33:02 +0000 UTCI haven't experimented enough with serums that last longer and-or confer higher levels of suggestability, but Vren has indicated that higher suggestibility allows (provides a chance for?) the trance to last longer, and I've seen a degree of variation in the duration of trances. What this suggests (heh) to me is that higher suggestability for longer durations may allow trances to have a chance to last longer (though I have not yet tested this). If this is the case, then the best way to adjust your playstyle is as follows: * For low-suggestability girls/low-duration suggestability, send them into a trance in the morning and condition them over the course of the day. * For high-suggestability girls/long-duration suggestability, feel free to send them into a trance at night. This is similar to the older mechanics in which you sometimes had to time your serum admission correctly -- give someone a serum with too short a duration at night and you won't benefit from its full effects.

2021-08-04 04:14:28 +0000 UTCThe Friday night romantic dinner event / Saturday morning help Mom with the finances conflicts with the new trance system. If you have sex and they go into a trance you have no time to influence her as the Mom event jerks you away. The two events have always conflicted in world as you may have just finished a sexual act with Steph, then are teleported home to interact with Jennifer, to just as suddenly be teleported back to Steph's place. I know that you do need clarity so not getting to influence a girl isn't the end of the world, still it looks like moving the event to Sunday would make for better game flow. Thinking on it I know that you can visit a girl at night after you have gone to their place so that this will happen sometimes Sunday mornings, but there are two planned events on Friday nights so it would happen less often.
2021-08-04 01:22:07 +0000 UTCI created my first serum, which had the effect of giving +10 sluttiness (max 30). I used it on someone who had 20 sluttiness, and it said that it had no effect. Am I missing something with this? There weren't any side effects.
