Welcome to 2024!

And a very happy belated New Year!

Since wrapping up Class of '76 in December, the team has been hard at work on Season 7: Alphabet. This year we're diving into the Anthology Hub, or SCP's Alphabet of Death. It has all 31 letters of the alphabet (including a couple special symbols and four X's- we're covering most of them but we skipped a couple!)

We're set to return March 28! But this year, Patrons will get access to all of our episodes two days early, so we'll see you on March 26!

Joining us in this exciting new season is a cast and crew of some familiar faces, and some new ones!

First, joining us as a new sound designer is Chris Harris-Beechy! Chris is an incredible voice actor, and you've heard them on our show in several roles already! Chris is a master of dialect and accent, and now they're lending their talents to our blood squelching sfx!

Coming on fulltime is our incredible artist, Eduardo "Valdevia" Valdés-Hevia. Eduardo has made several stunning postcards for us already, and now he'll be contributing custom art for every episode of SCP this year! Eduardo's already created some truly chilling and skin crawling art, and I'm excited to see all the incredible art he makes for this season!

Joining Eduardo in the visuals department is Dakota Miller! I've had the pleasure of working with Dakota on a handful of projects now, and I've dreamt of bringing him into SCP for awhile. This year we're looking to revitalize our YouTube channel with new videos! We're starting small with some lightly animated infographics and screens to accompany our weekly stories. We'll be rolling this out right alongside season 7!

Continuing his tenure, Kevin Whitlock returns as our fearless script editor. Kevin does the hard job of translating articles on the wiki into properly formatted scripts, adapted with audio in mind. Unless you're looking at our transcripts, you probably won't see his work directly, but you'll hear it in every line of every episode!

We're also joined by our returning composer, Dana Creasman. Dana most recently sound designed Class of '76, but they've also worked as a composer on other shows for us, like Out of Place. I'm incredibly excited to welcome Dana back, the songs she's composed for this season are outstanding.

And returning once more is our fearless showerunner, Daisy McNamara! Without Daisy, nothing would ever get done. As showrunner, Daisy sees it all. From casting, to coordinating to QAing, no one touches the show as much as she. And you'll see some of the really incredible ideas Daisy has brought to the table for this season!

And what's my role in all this mess? Well, this season I'm kicking back and relaxing.
Sort of.
I have a couple other big projects coming down the pipeline this year, like Dead Space: Deep Cover, maybe a live show or two, and overseeing the Bloody FM network. But that's not going to keep me away from SCP! With Daisy helming the show, I'm returning to editing. I'll be editing every other episode this season, alongside Chris! And of course, keeping y'all company here on Patreon.

I'll also be pursuing a couple new ideas, like video interviews with the cast (a Patreon exclusive!), a monthly newsletter, and some other stuff I'm still figuring out!

2024 is shaping up to be an exciting year! But really? More than anything, I'm just excited to get to work!

I got my fingers in a couple of pies, so if you're interested in seeing my work outside of SCP, I suggest you check out my newsletter where I'll be talking about my work on our sister show, Creepy, upcoming podcast Shelterwood, and Bloody FM originals like The Dead, and Mayfair Watchers Society!

But, let's bring it back to SCP.

Release schedule

Right now, our plan is to release new episodes on Patreon every Tuesday starting March 26. Those episodes will be publicly available with ads every Thursday, and the YouTube version will follow shortly behind that.

Be sure to follow us on Twitter (or X), Instagram and BlueSky where we'll be posting all of Eduardo's artwork as it's released!
And if you haven't already, be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel!

Alright, with that, I'm heading off to New Orleans for a meetup with Jon Grilz and all the narrators of Creepy! I'll be back in a couple of days with a lil' photo dump!

Catch y'all soon,
Pacific

Welcome to 2024!
