In my story, Uru plays a big role in turning Mufasa and Taka/Scar against each other. In her eyes, Taka is always an innocent victim who can do no wrong on purpose, while Mufasa is "the future king" who's not responsible enough, wise enough, caring enough, or anything enough. She loves both her sons, but she expects too much of Mufasa and barely anything of Taka. It's partially because she herself was the oldest of triplets. She always felt it was her responsibility to take care of her little brothers (Kiume and Angu), especially after their parents died. But as I've explained earlier, she lost her brothers for years and thought they were dead. She blames herself for not being a good older sibling, and she's trying to make sure Mufasa is better. But Mufasa just feels like he's never good enough, which is why he's not very close with his mother.
As for Thema? She and Uru are close because they're both lionesses and Uru is her main teacher. Uru expects a lot of Thema too, but she's less harsh with her.
