2021-09-22 11:55:47 +0000 UTCYou're completely right! The multi-face desease the boy had is a long-gone epidemic that basically contributed to the fall of Xie Lian"s homeland many-many years ago. This desease was actually caused by one of the cruelest demon in the world - you can see his figure and creepy mask in the end. One mystery solved - here's the next one, lmao: how did the boy survived if this epidemic took place several hundred years ago? And how exactly did he get it? The conflict between Pei Ming and Xuan Ji is indeed tragic. I personally can't blame any of them, just like Xie Lian said "Outsiders are in no position to judge". It could have ended much better with both Xuan Ji letting Pei Ming go or Pei Ming not being so heartless towards his lover. Imo, this case is the first example of how cruel and indifferent most of the Heavenly Officials are; how spiteful they can be and how some of them are able to commit a number of massacres. Can't wait for your next reaction.
