Mr Poppop, you know there's only one right answer when it comes to the album reaction for next weekend. And that is non other than BOOMAN 2phones Baby Keem new album Ca$ino

Actually the first Dust Brothers collab album I heard, because it hit at the right CD-buying age, was Beck's Odelay which is similar in some of the non-sequitur journeys it takes. Another really enjoyable one. Then in retrospect after getting into old-school hip hop classics in the late '90s, I worked my way to Paul's Boutique and it is a really jarring sound compared to their first album Licensed to Ill, nevermind the Boogie Down Productions etc. records from other artists that came before...

Also you think you've heard A Year and A Day before, because its the same sample as I by Kendrick Lamar- That Lady by The Isley Brothers

I do agree that I'm not that into their vocals overall, but god there energy is so good, the sampling is wild and I just respect the fuck out of what they do. It's so fun, and the way they bounce off eachother is so seamless. I highly recommend everyone check out the podcast No Dogs In Space, who did a 6 part series on the Beastie Boys. They go through their whole history, and really show off how they eventually were connected with and respected by both the NYC hip hop and punk scenes.

Would be fun if you’d isten to Urban Dance Squad one day, since you like RATM so much. They were heavily influenced by this Dutch group.
