More Updates...

As far as Patreon goes, I think from here on out I will only post the main rewards at the end of the month. The way I do things currently, I like to share my work asap once complete. Then I try to clean things up a bit here and there to share on Patreon. Delaying things for a day or two exclusivity doesn't seem to make much sense. This also helps me make sure the video content is perfect and not rushed!

However, what I do plan to do more of is share my thoughts in these 'blogs' if you will. I think some of you may find it interesting, and it helps me keep track of where my head is at with my work. 

Youtube

I am almost decided on launching channel memberships in March! The main idea is just to make my patreon content a little more accessible to my main audience on youtube. I plan to make everything I have available here, available there as well. 

However, Youtube takes a much bigger cut than Patreon does, so I will likely raise the price to 7-8 usd over there. Nothing will change here. I'm interested in seeing how many people sign up due to the ease of use. 

I'm also thinking about making it more expensive/adding the tutorial tier back there depending on how well its received. It's really just an experiment at the end of the day, so we'll see how it goes. 

Art

Boy the Instagram algorithm is crazy. I won't lie, Ive been very frustrated seeing a few of my recent posts do worse than my posts did over a year ago. Thats a year  of improvement and audience growth that seems to be worth nothing. But Ive decided it really is just the algorithm changing so drastically on there + possibly how inconsistent my style/subject matter is over the years. I have a strong feeling theres multiple groups within my 100k ish followers that like certain types of things I make. When I am consistent doing one type of thing, that group grows and the algorithm rewards me for better engagement. But whenever I appeal to the smaller one, the cycle starts over.

When it comes to the actual art though, I feel pretty good about things. I have gotten really close to figuring out how to combine all of my interests and skills to be more consistent. I have some ideas I'm just gonna run with, the last two color studies were cool, but not really ME. Thats just how studies are anyways. 

Thats it for me tonight. I'm probably going to go play Elden Ring, anyone else a gamer? I've been enjoying Horizon Zero Dawn Forbidden West as well. I definitely plan to make some fanart for both, and not stress too much about how it turns out.
