In this episode, we let the Council take over.
Planescape: Torment would be the dream season of RLH to me 😁 Incredible game, as it is and for when it exists in the timeline of RPGs, D&D, and video games. I might finally get the gumption to try a real evil play through

Also unrelated, but concerning Warhammer: Originally it started as Warhammer: Fantasy, which is the medieval setting of Warhammer: Dark Omen. The creators thought it would be cool to take the light sci-fi elements present in that setting to the extreme and created Warhammer 40K, which is the grimdark space marine-y setting that Rogue Trader takes place in. They're separate universes that aren't plot or lore related but are inspired by the same source.

Princes of Darkness is so awesome; I highly recommend it! You can also play werewolves, hunters, mummies, fae and demons!

Quick little note, since this wasn't exactly mentioned (I'm assuming Gary and Kaye knew and just didn't feel like elaborating in the interest of time), in case anyone does want to know more about Numinera, there is a tabletop game that predate the CRPG, though there isn't the piles of back material elaborating on the setting for it like there is for most D&D settings (and, in turn, Planescape)

I played through torment before listening to the WOFF episode a few years back, and wow was it rough. Neat world/story, but I don't think I can ever actually play it again. Should still be a fun listen.

Excited for Torment especially since it’s something I can play on the Steam Deck

This was my first Warhammer game and also the one I prefer over Wrath of the Righteous from that same studio (probably because it is turn based). And I’ve really enjoyed it and getting into that world which I’ve never found interesting. So I also hope they tackle it but I’ll settle for WoTR too.

Just because it came up on the show, I want to once again sing the praises of (and soothe your worries around), Rogue Trader.
It is a fantastic entry point into WH40K. It is directly concerned with an extremely narrow (but narratively satisfying) slice of the galaxy, and introduces broader core setting concepts at a reasonable pace as and when they are relevant to your much smaller story.
The biggest ding is that it is a long game, very long, and if the 40K bug never bit I could see it becoming a slog. Really hope you eventually cover it, or at least seriously explore covering it, on RLH.

I am sorry for being like this. Thanks for the show as always.
Also Kezia's comment has made me want to write Malkavian Harry Du Bois.

If torment is next I'm very excited. I've tried before but kind of got lost and became disinterested. The woff is good but very zoomed out. Having a weekly show to play along with might get me over the hump!
