Yeah it is a little strange to wear a shirt of a friend that's passed away, but it's common to buy these shirts bc it helps the family pay for funeral costs. That and carwashes. I think these days it's more common to do gofund me's though. Usually people only wear the shirts for a couple weeks after and maybe on anniversaries.
