No Change in Format

Thanks to everyone who voted and gave feedback on the possibility of live-streaming Friday album reactions. For now, I'll continue with the current format of recording it offline and posting it as a video on Patreon/YouTube. The current structure has worked so well, I don't want to risk tampering with it.

For those curious why this came up, the idea is to reach 'Twitch Affiliate' status so that the Thursday Live Stream can become a potential revenue stream, but becoming an affiliate comes with certain requirements, some of which I won't reach by only streaming once a week. But there are other ways to reach those goals (Live streaming singles reactions, video reactions, AMAs, etc) that will also be fun. So that's the idea going forward.

Also, regarding monetizing the Twitch stream, please know this: I absolutely will NOT be loading up my stream with commercials. EVER. I fucking hate that shit so much, and it's why I never use Twitch to begin with. No ads. I can figure out other ways to make a few dollars without bombarding people with annoying commercials.

Cheers, y'all 🍻

The only bad thing is twitch auto runs ads so even if you dont want to run them they win

We might get some Bone Thugs in October not guaranteed but could happen. :)

Dylan Woods

Can you please add the Bone Thugs N Harmony to your album lists?

james moore

lol, I appreciate the support, but I absolutely despise ads.

Twitch only does the takedown on VODs, so the livestream is safe (from what I understand)

Apparently not. Although Idk, there’s a bunch of twitch content creators that react to new albums when they drop, so I’m guessing it’s not that big of a deal. Meanwhile YouTube took down a stream and copyright struck Ludwig, a guy they paid to jump from twitch to YouTube. Let’s me know they are dead serious with their bullshit copyright system, even if it’s only for a couple of seconds.

Woo- hoo! Yeah man that’s the way to go. Twitch is awesome but the environment is toxic, especially with music. This community is way more chill, but it doesn’t stop the inevitable troll to come into the stream. Plus singles, and videos are a good way to dip your toes into this space, that way if u ever do go into streaming albums, you’ll know how to manage the insane twitch chat. I love the idea tho of doing other music content on stream though like singles and stuff. Maybe u can take a look at some of the content I’ve linked u. Plus when there are live performances that are being streamed, it would be cool to see it with u and this community. Can’t wait and good luck. Also I respect your stance on ads ✊

GIVE US ALL THE ADS MAN. GET THAT BAG

YouTube takes down streams with music in them a all the time:

RINGER 13

there are a couple chrome extensions for avoiding ads on twitch. sometimes get patched but within a week a new solution pops up.

Yeah twitch's ad experience is just horrendous. I dont think they will ever fix it at this point.

Mason

Just keep us updated so I know when to re-download twitch

Paul Salvador Estrada

Hell yeah brother, cheers from Iraq

Christopher Bloom

I guess he could just delete the vods on twitch and upload them here maybe

Sounds good man. I was thinking an interactive stream where you listen to community picked singles would be hilarious, that way you’d hear a bunch of great songs and the ones that pique your interest might lead to album reactions.

I’m in every stream I can possibly be in, I’ll gladly be a sub

What’s the reason for not live-streaming to YouTube? I assume it’s the copyright issue but doesn’t twitch have that same problem?
