You should check out Teyanas album after this one. Called "The Album"

Mickey10 JB

If you want more female Artists there is space for that for sure, it's just when you get the time lol 3 of my Favorites are Remy Ma, Rapsody & Snow Tha Product.

Gerardo Rojas

Eve and Laila's Wisdom are Rapsody in TOP form for sure.

Gerardo Rojas

Gonna Love Me (Remix) ft. Ghostface, Raekwon and Method Man 🔥

Patre

Another great female artist is Rapsody. Her “Eve” album is amazing, as is the rest of her catalog

Yes I’m glad u did this project. I liked it, and even tho I didn’t like the Nas album, hopefully u listen to it and maybe you will. Teyana and Iman Shumpert are the couple in the Kanye West music video “Fade”. Also u should watch the performance that Kanye and Teyana did on SNL. The unreleased song was supposed to be on Yahndi. The project never came out, but the performance is awesome. As far as female rappers u should listen to Rapsody’s “Laila’s Wisdom”. It’s amazing and even has a Kendrick feature. Since u r a big Kenny Beats fan listen to Rico Nasty. He has produced a bunch of stuff for her.

Jay Dog

The way you say "BoogzDaBeast" kills me everytime 💀

Besides looking up samples and listening to the originals individually, you can often find playlists on streaming services that put together samples from an album, an artist, or some other broader theme. Sometimes it’ll just be the original songs, sometimes it’ll also include the song(s) that sampled it so you can see it side by side. And I’m sure you’ve been recommended this before, but WhoSampled is a great site/app for finding samples quickly. Also, I was not prepared for the thing that you almost forgot to bring up after reading annotations about the “fatty” and body positivity to be Jack Black. Like it made sense, but I did an audio double-take. Well done.

This was great! I was hoping you did this one

Nigoshi Al-Asme

Sawayama or FKA Twigs would be heat

Cullen Hendricks

Some great female artists/albums Kelela - Take Me Apart (very cool futuristic R&B) Rosalia - A Ningun Hombre (experimental pop and a fantastic Spanish vocalist) FKA Twigs - LP1 (R&B, again very experimental) Lauryn Hill - Miseducation of Lauryn Hill (iconic neo-soul rap record) Rina Sawayama - SAWAYAMA (pop rock banger) Kate Bush (art pop legend) Bjork (avant-garde legend) Joni Mitchell (Folk legend)

You should absolutely react to 'Things Fall Apart' by The Roots. One of the great, great records in hip hop. Would be right up your alley

adiiiiiiiii

I think a good album to start the 70s or old roots might be Marvin Gayes Whats Going On, it has some of the best transitions of tracks oat

monty cloud

Doesn't fit with the rest of the channel, but one of the best women in music rn is Phoebe Bridgers. A reaction to Punisher would be unreal.

Alex VonBerg

This before CTRL😭😭😭😭😭😭

If you want to incorporate more female artists I can't recommend You can't kill me - 070 Shake enough. It came out earlier this year and I really enjoyed that album.

Alex

While we all can agree that the Kanye/Nas album was a disappointment (not for production either, some great beats...it's just that for some reason Nas' style/flow and Kanye's production just don't match up), I hope that doesn't put you off from doing other Nas albums including his later work. The 3 albums he's put out since Nasir were all VERY good (Kings Disease 1 and 2 and Magic) and of course he has a slew of classics post-Illmatic as well. Also I second you watching Kanye's Fade video...not sure if it's anything we should see you watch or not though, HornyBob gonna turn into a demon during that one 😂

Xavvi

I'd recommend Janelle Monáe if you want some great modern R&B with female vocals

Christopher Bloom

TurboGrafx16 was like late 2016

Christopher Bloom

WTP definitely sounds different from the rest of the album. All of the other Wyoming albums have 7 tracks except for KTSE which has 8. So in my head canon it’s just a bonus track.

CRASH

Rihanna - Anti SZA - Ctrl Are 2 other ones

CRASH

Oh yeah and if you’re ever looking for more female artists to do, check out Ari Lennox - Shea Butter Baby. Drop her name into your discord and see what they say

CRASH

Was gonna recommend this but didn’t think you’d bother so wooooooooooo Also while I love this album (except the last track), teyana seemingly hated it because it’s not the album she turned in and Kanye fucked with the tracks to make them shorter. She was particularly upset about a verse she wrote about her daughter that was cut.

CRASH

Love this album! Speaking of female artists…..you have to listen to the latest 070 Shake Album! I think you’ll love it!

Mallary Hampton

my favorite random thing about Teyana is that her vocals on the “Dark Fantasy” intro by Kanye (where she sings “oh- oh oh oh- can we get much higher…”) aren’t manipulated at all. She made it sound like that completely on her own, really impressive control and technique! Super underrated vocalist.

Braeden Schaefer

bob, i have a spotify playlist with a ton of old funk/soul and a lot of them are samples that you might recognize. it’s long but i’d love to send it if you’re interested

Antonio

The laser beam sounds are because during that era Kanye announced he was working on a new album called Turbo Grapx 16 (which is the name of an old video game console), and during that era he experimented a lot with laser beam sounds and themes, the album eventually didn't came out. If you notice in Ghost Town at the end there are also laser beam sounds, so whatever he did during Turbo Grapx 16 period, he ended up using for these 5 albums with 7 tracks he produced.

ufo

If u love female vocals u gotta check out Jhene Aiko. Sail out is a great starting point 7 songs 30 mins.

John

This is such a W for so many reasons. You could have easily skipped this album with very little push back. In all honesty, a lot of people gave her album less attention compared to the others. It's a very solid album. Very easy listen, amazing singing and melodies, along with very minimal but beautiful production. Anyone who liked anything on this album should for sure check out her other work. I'm a huge hip-hop head but will never be disappointed in an R&B reaction lol this and SZA CTRL were my go to albums when I'd go on dates 😂 just sets the mood/vibe without being overly aggressive. lol

Wesley

This is a great surprise. Love Teyanna Taylor. The Kanye Nas album was a let down. The Nas project after that is pretty good though

John

shame on me for sleeping on this album. W reaction

shaun

Surprised you did this one instead of Nas

Christopher Bloom

Random, but W.

Kashon Garner

I never got into this one but I also haven't given it a shot in years

Josh Burcham

One of the sleeper of the GOOD Music series of release but one of my favs! Also, if you don't know what Teyana Taylor looks like I suggest you to watch Kanye West's "FADE" music video... on your own time :)
