2024-09-30 00:31:51 +0000 UTCtotally agree with you, in this album the vocal really carries the songs in general. it is such an understatement for their talent. on the other side i think the producer are afraid to comes up with new 'exciting sound' since they might ruined the vocals, so they went with 'safe' arrangement

But they can't work until their official discharge date so we still have to wait. I'm glad they get time to rest properly!

My favorite track is actually Traveler, I live next to the beach and it's a great song for driving down for a surf. Since Kpop has always been very heavily influenced by Michael Jackson, especially groups like SHINee and early BTOB, so I'm ok with them exploring other western influences so long as it doesn't descend into Dynamite/PTD levels. And 2021 has been the year of 80's synth pop influences which really worked for Brave Girls. I enjoy how BTOB 4U has the two brightest voices in BTOB, it gives a different, more hopeful and youthful sound. But Brother Act and This Is Us are still my favorite records. BTOB 4U's Inside is better than Outside.

2021-09-12 00:54:28 +0000 UTCI agree this album is more on the upbeat side which is not what BTOB is used to releasing. Definitely check their other albums out especially Brother Act. I think you will find a lot of your style in that precious album. Also, Show and Prove has a live performance if you’re interested. They performed it as their finale song during mnet’s show Kingdom.

2021-09-10 00:02:17 +0000 UTCi think a big reason you're not getting the soul you're looking for is because this mini album has a 'healing' theme. the upbeat, playful, youthful elements all contribute to the messages of the song, if you have any interest in checking out the lyrics :) if you're looking for a full album with soul, Brother Act is your game. btob 4u's INSIDE b-sides are likely more your speed, too. frankly, every btob album before this one and after their Press Play EP have lots of b-sides that i think you'd find warm, soulful, spicy lol

2021-09-09 19:54:54 +0000 UTCBoth Hyunsik and Sungjae are in the military still. The other vocalist you heard besides Changsub and Eunkwang is Minhyuk, as he is both a rapper and a vocalist in the group! Also, fun fact: Waiting 4 U was composed by Hyunsik, no wonder why you liked it!
