NCT has some of the best slow songs, I swear. Their vocals are so underrated. This video they filmed a lot of themselves, except they didn’t know they were filming for the music video. They were given cameras and told to video each other and play around so the crew could take video of them, they didn’t know their own footage would be in the video. They also had no idea about the baby pictures and ‘thank you’ interlude. This song gets me choked up every time, because when trainees leave home to train, they live in dorms, they work constantly, many companies don’t allow their trainees to have phones or social media. It may be months or years until they see or speak to their family members. Getting to go home for a while is very rare, especially if your family isn’t in Seoul. Like Yuta (rich vocals) is from Japan. Several members in this song are from China. Also in NCT are Johnny from America and Mark from Canada. A second music video for this song was released and it kills me dead. I’m not sure the members knew about it at all, it’s made entirely of footage of them from trainee days until now. You see them so young (the youngest members in NCT Dream were 14 and 15 when they debuted, and the youngest, Jisung had trained for 4 years.) and it hits you they were these tiny little babies leaving home and everything they knew to chase dreams.

If you love ballads, SM groups are the way to go and some of the best ones are B-sides and don't have videos. Check out EXO - "What If..." if you want that old school R&B ballad vibe and Jonghyun (SHINee) solo albums. 💕
