Even with the disappointing ending this show will always have a place among my favorite shows. And with you guys moving to watching House of the Dragon makes me even happier since I love that show more than GoT.

Well I now know why I have never heard anything good about season 8. So many of the plot lines just fell apart. The Night king defeat was so disappointing. He killed a dragon with one attack and could raise the dead and he died in such a dumb way. He was super fast reacting to the onset attack and then Arya but couldn't react fast enough to seeing her drop her blade. I was just really expecting it to be Jon to kill him.
We also only saw Arya use her faces to kill the Frey's. It was building for so long for her to get the faces and then we only saw her use it once.
I was so disengaged with season 8. It got to the point where I was using it more for background noise because I lost interest in it.

Tbh I think you all should react to A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms first instead of House of the Dragon. It's a welcome breath of fresh air after the final season of Thrones (and s2 of HotD). Plus all the episodes are much shorter and there will be only 6 episodes this season.

If yall want some lore videos, check out Alt Shift X, he's got loads of videos detailing the lore, which in my opinion are way better than the HBO made ones for the blurays.
Also his friend Glidus has a beginner's guide to HotD video, that doenst spoil anything, if yall are gonna start that next.

While it would still have been a let down from season 1-4, if seasons 7 and 8 had been 10 episodes long like they should have been, it wouldn't have felt so rushed. A little restructuring and the battle of Winterfell could have been the finale of season 7. Then we would have gotten a 10-episode season 8 to foreshadow Dany's eventual heel turn. Also, Jon has to defeat the night king and then become king for the seven kingdoms. Just because it's predictable doesn't make it bad and plenty of people want to see it.

I mean first of all
They were never going to leave in the first place
They only left BECAUSE of the proceedings in the council ie. Jon going to the wall
And even after that if they recalled Jon from the wall to crown him, what's stopping them from coming back after they hear of this, INCLUDING everyone else Danny left behind in Essos meaning now they have to fight the reorganized Unsullied plus her remaining armies holding the slavers bay
Not to mention that going against all of this would not only go against their promise but their honor aswell
They weren't kidding when they said they owe them a debt that can never be repaid
Unsullied and the dothraki suffered the most casualities during the long night battle

Can someone explain to me very slowly why they couldnt wait until the Unsullied left Westeros and then crowned Jon? Like what are they going to do, attack the entirety of the 7 kingdoms with what's left of the Unsullied?
