I feel that last conversation on how this story doesnt shy away from showing the many bad sides of medieval times. Especially medieval fantasy settings do the "the good, honorable side does no wrong. Knights fight for justice and warriors fight for glory." This was the first story where it actually feels more medieval than fantasy.
Also hell yeah we finally met the ironborn. I love my death worshipping, possibly lovecraftian fantasy vikings. Especially a character we havent met yet (and is way better in the books).

Rickon really. Suffers from the writing in this show. In the first book admittedly hes a background character cause hes never a POV. He briefly talks wity Jon during the Feast when Robert comes down, follows his mother around crying for Bran when he fell, and then follows Robb around crying cause he wants mom and dad to come home. I don't even think the Show has had him name his Direwolf yet but I KNOW the wolf has one by the time Bran and him share the dream about Ned in the crypts.
There is just a lot of interaction with Rickon that the show just. Didn't do and it leaves him forever to show watchers as the nameless Stark cause they just didn't DO anything with the character.
