Happy New Year Agents! How was everyone's evening? Mine was a mix of games, movies, drinks and then passing out before the ball dropped. Thankfully I've had a fairly headache-free morning. :)
Now that we're officially in 2024, let's talk more about the game and what the year holds.
Yesterday we released version 1.2.4, which was a smaller update than I originally intended. But, there were some issues at my job that required more attention. Plus with the holiday season it was difficult to cobble together any real free time. That being said, I should have much more time going forward. Regardless, we still managed to put out a new update. Which, I'm happy for! Hopefully those that have played it enjoyed the new content.
Now we need to address the elephant in the room. I've noticed that interest in the game has begun to lose some steam. I've tried to keep up with marketing and new content, but I'm just one person and Civis is at his limits for what he can help with. This slow down hasn't been helping my motivation either.
So, I guess what I'm saying is, if there is anyone that's good with social media and would be willing to help out, please message me. Ideally, I'd like someone to be able to put new marketing posts up on twitter (X), facebook/meta, instagram, tiktok, ect. The person(s) that helps would be bumped up to Special Agent Tier for free and would gain access to more insight regarding the game.
So, now that that's out of the way. Let's talk a bit about the games development. As I stated before, 1.2.4 was a smaller update. But, that's partially because some assets were missing or scenes we're either incomplete and needed work. The next update, 1.3.1 should be quite a bit larger in size and length than the past updates. My hope is to complete Chapter 1 (version 2.1.1) by late spring or early summer. In case you don't remember, the overall game will contain 3 main chapters, not including the prolog. Once chapter 1 is completed I'll reevaluate the games direction moving forward.
So, to help keep things going as smoothly as possible, I'd like to get some feedback regarding what you feel is most important in the next update!
Remember, you're helping to drive the direction and future of the game.
