But of course, you'll know a few days before everyone else and I plan to get the video to you by end of Wednesday.
In the meantime we're still working on hopeful execution of the mission. Right now that mainly means my talking with angel investors, some of them fellow Patreons (and I can't thank them enough).
Update: We have been trying to find a structure that would allow anyone to invest - if this happens at all - for example at $100 each, but are being legally prevented from doing so by very strict securities rules/laws in each territory.
I'll go into more detail in Part 2, but to give one example, if we allow investments from the USA, we have to exclude investors in Canada and anyone earning under £200K in the UK. I couldn't do that - imagine the flak I'd get. Conversely if we allow investment from the EU, we exclude the USA. We'd actually need four campaigns, or a different overly complex mechanism of share trading among community members, to allow everyone in - and running 4 campaigns or managing share swap headaches would take time away from actually managing to "do the thing". But, we'll try to find a way once we get past step 1!

As much as I loved my C64, my first PC, I was really hooked to the Amiga, owning and evangelizing for every model from 1985 to well past 1994. I pray that your positive spirit can overcome the divisiveness and litigiousness that has dogged that system since its inception. Only Amiga makes it possible!

2025-06-28 16:54:06 +0000 UTCGood question and thank you for the interest in supporting the mission. We have a hard deadline of 24 July to pay the vendor, so sooner is definitely better. That said, if we reach our goal by then, future investment may still help for working capital, and would carry the same rewards.

I'm working on diversifying one large asset into several smaller ones and I have to be honest, this feels like a very compelling one to add to my portfolio (even if part of this is nostalgia speaking). But it's not something I can act on as of yet.
