Backstage Pass: New Banner Design

I had some fun today playing with DALL-E 3 which is now built into ChatGPT. You might've noticed the thumbnail for the upcoming Duel Truck video, which was also made partly with that same AI method, followed by a lot of tweaking and merging of element from other AI images:

In that one the cliffs used to be forests but were replaced using Photoshop Generative Fill, and so on.

Here's the description I used for the new banner:

You'll notice I kept specifying no wheels on the computers... but, it kept adding wheels! So I just went with it. In hindsight, it was right, and as Ladyfractic says, it's funnier that way.

I then added the faces, which were also AI generated with Photoleap on mobile.

Here's some of the other variants the AI came up with, which you might find amusing!

I don't remember asking for a lawnmower ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It also seemed quite convinced that Knight Rider must be a knight that is riding.

Spelling errors aside, that one was a contender, but I wanted a more obvious retro computer on the left, and chubbier buggy style wheels.

KITT looks amazing there, but there's that riding knight coming to mess things up again!

Now our knight is on a "horse", and riding a retro car, but I loved that computer in the forefront, which I transplanted to the final banner.

This came a close second overall. It decided on the flying DeLorean all by itself. But I don't want to go too car heavy. Might save this one for later though.

It also seemed to start getting confused between Commodore 64s and Commodore cars. But I loved the logo text on this one, which I also transplanted to the final banner.

I loved this one as well, especially that Commodore car! ;)  But again, too car heavy for the channel. I want an even mix of computers, retrogaming, and vintage TV stuff that better represents the video catalogue here.

And finally one more brilliant image. AI has really come far and is only going to get better. I can't wait till it can do all the video editing for me in my style, leaving me more time to film. We could conceivably go to two videos a week in that case. One day perhaps...

Fine there's one more image where it really nailed the C64 (at last). But who's driving KITT!? (Did you spot the easter egg in the final banner at the top? 🐾 )
