Travelling Camera AEP

I did a rough demonstration on a looping BG for a student this week

First I did an adjusted layout drawing (above) to work better with this kind of chase scene set up, then brought that into AE to rebuild it with some fractal noise and mesh warp & power pin usage on the ground plane, then some simple scaling and duplicating for the trees. For the final version the student is planning to use repeating BG elements scaling in comp.

I have attached the AEP file here for you all to pick through if ya like.

Popped two other examples of similar foreshortened one point perspective shots I had a hand in too:

2D Animation:

First one is a lil fox loop I 2D animated in Photoshop. for this one the horizon is higher, with less bowing of the ground plane as I knew the fox would be concealing the convergence point.

3D BG Animation (with 2D Final Artwork):

And here is a shot that I helped plan out for Wolfwalkers. This shot has a locked camera with a BG rolling in front of it, almost like a carousel.
David McDermot did the 3D pre-vis in Blender, Maria Pareja did the sketchy linework, followed by Ciarán Duffy’s watercolour rendering, with animation by James Baxter.

This shot was actually built in AE, rather than Blender, by myself, and involved more of the POV aspect of Wolfvision, with bouncing strides and shifting angles of view, making it a little different than the previous examples.
Final BG graphite render by myself with Keelan McLeod assisting. Animation by Svende Rothman and effects towards the end by Marie LeChevalier.

Both had cleanup team lead by Narissa Schander & Tatiana Mazzei with final comp by Serge Ume’s team.
