Beyond Eternity 2nd Half

The 2nd half of Beyond Eternity by Destruction continues with the arpeggio theme that happens in the 1st half. This time it's done with distorted guitar instead of an acoustic, and it's far more difficult.

Now, I do apologize for being a bit out of it during this lesson. I came down with some kind of head cold last night, and have been in bed most of the day despite REALLY wanting to get this lesson made. So, dammit, I made it!

I really do hope the lesson came out well enough though. Who knows, maybe you'll get a laugh out of the video while learning about shredding some arpeggios :)

This is what I've used, just the song on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18edZY09GSc If I remember correctly, I opted to not use that track in demonstrating this part because either there was no real count off to begin this section, and/or the rhythm/timing in the recording wasn't very consistent, making it extremely difficult to follow with 100% accuracy.

are available the backing track of the 2nd Half?

I think this will be extremely challenging for most people! It certainly proved difficult for me. Yes, there's definitely a limit to what a guitar player should try playing. That being said, if the name of the game is to just have fun trying to learn a piece of music you highly enjoy, then go for it. I feel it's important to keep in mind that you won't be reaching perfection with that piece of music any time soon though. If the goal was to take a piece of music to approach getting better at your instrument in an efficient manner, then trying to learn extremely challenging pieces of music is not the way I recommend going. Working just slightly out of one's comfort zone and addressing weaknesses every step of the way is a far more efficient means of progressing with your instrument.

Okay this is going to be extreemly challenging for me. I can barely pick simple sixtuplets on a single string at 130 BPM . To go beyond that speed will take me several months if not longer. So I'm thinking of starting with 16th notes and work it up from 60 BPM as usual until I can nail it at 180 BPM. No matter how long it will take me. But I wonder if there's a limit to what a guitar player at a certain level should tackle head on in general? Is there such a thing as 'just to much when you are at that level' ?? I mean I can work it up to around 160 BPM 16th notes in a couple of months but going beyond that will take time. And sixtuplets will take even longer if possible at all.
