Here's another Let Me Out test picture I was playing around with. This one might be a lot closer than the previous ones to stuff you'd actually see in the game. I figured that maybe some of the uncanny valley problems I've been having with the character model might be fixed if I put her in a more complete environment (as I planned to do anyway). I will be adding more environmental features, too, because I want the scene to look more busy and complete when I'm done with it.
I've reverted back to an earlier version of Twyla and made a few tweaks to the original model, rather than going ahead with the modifications I made the last time, since my last round of experimentation was pretty unsuccessful.
I also tried a few test shots going back to the older 3Delight renderer, but I just didn't like it as much. I'm thinking I will have to try to make the Iray renderer work.
I think I need to make some changes to the orc. At the least I'll need to change his skin texture because it makes him look too much like the goblin in LMI.
By the way, in case you were wondering, although this situation looks a lot more dire for Twyla than in the last game, she's actually going to be a lot less of a victim in this one, if only because you'll be playing as Twyla in LMO. My tagline for the game is this: "Who will win the battle of wits between an ugly orc and an imprisoned princess?"
So anyway, what do you think? Any comments, objections or suggestions?
