Update 47

tl;dr - A busy week leads to trouble making progress, but I've tried to make up for it on the weekend. I've mostly developed images, added voice acting and done some programming on the Ai/Rio sex scene.

Today's image

I thought I hadn't shown you a Masami image in a while, so here's one. Admittedly she's mostly concealed by Kenji, but I quite like the pose, personally.  I made the pose originally some time ago (earlier in the game development), but I've only just placed the characters into this set and rendered them in Iray, effectively turning a test pose into a full image.

What do you think? Is it a good pose/picture?

BTW, I have also made some changes to the images where maids are washing up (or at least I've started making those changes) so that those images should hopefully look a lot better in future versions of the game. I've never been entirely happy with how the valley looked in the pictures.

Busy week leads to simple progress

I have to admit I had a busy week and so it wasn't the most productive. Things should be a bit easier this week; I don't anticipate any of the problems I had last week returning. The most straightforward stuff I was able to do with the time I had was make a few images and add some voice acting to the game. This also involved inserting some new lines of dialogue to the combat scenes. In the process I discovered that I hadn't actually implemented all the voice lines I had available for the combat scenes, which is something I'm now working to correct.

On the weekend I have tried to make up for the lack of progress a little, by the way, but there's only so much I can do in the time I had this week. :)

Started programming the Ai/Rio threesome

I've started programming the Rio/Ai sex scene. It's not very far advanced yet, but hopefully it won't take a crazy amount of work anyway. One thing I've found is that I can take care of one chore that I normally have to do with each sex scene by doing a simple 'find and replace'. I don't know why I never realised that before and now I feel stupid.

Anyway, I hope to make more serious progress on this throughout the week.

More teasing than in previous games

One thing I wanted to ask people who have now played the alpha: what do you think of the increased amount of minor sexual scenes before a full, interactive sex scene? My feeling was that it was going to be more interesting if you have a lot of teasing and build-up before the sex scenes actually arrive. So what I'm asking is, is that working for you? Does the sex scene have more impact if you have stuff like night service to lead in to it? Does it matter? Is it just nice on principal, even if it doesn't work?
