Update 38

tl;dr - Image design is on my mind; alpha 0.6.0 was released this week; I think Ai's sex scene will be in alpha 0.7.0.

Today's image:

This is Hiroshi's first arrival in the game - a picture that appears in the latest alpha. It's not the most sexually explicit pic I could have shared and some of you will have seen it already, since it's in the latest alpha. I wanted to talk about it for a moment, however, because I think Iku's hot in it, of course, but also because this is another use of my new lobby set.

You probably saw my previous update that noted that I have just bought a new set for the mansion lobby, which is, I think, a pretty awesome room and very much accurate to the environment as I see it in my head. As you can see with this pic I actually needed something like that for more than just the big intro scenes - even having Hiroshi stepping through a door requires an appropriate door prop.

If you're wondering, by the way, Iku is actually wearing panties. It just happens that the panties that come with her uniform are sheer and don't cover much butt.

Alpha 0.6.0 released:

This week I released the alpha version 0.6.0, which includes the Fumi sex scene as well as a bunch of other improvements and content updates. I hope those of you who have access are enjoying it! Normally I work on the game every day, at least a bit, but I admit that after releasing an alpha version I take a day or two off. Alpha releases are kind of a crunch time when I work particularly hard to get things finished, so it's best if I take a short break to recharge my batteries. I also have a slightly busy week with my day job at the moment, so that's been distracting too - luckily I got the alpha out first!

A little note - there are a few puzzles in the latest alpha now. I'd love to know if anyone's solved them, although I know that kind of thing can be harder to find when the game isn't yet feature-complete.

I've been trying to get a solution to a sound bug that was reported with the alpha, but so far I haven't got any help from ADRIFT's programmer on that. If anyone else is having that bug please report it to me, so that I can hopefully get to a solution faster.

What will be in the next alpha?

I suspect the next alpha will include the Ai sex scene - it's maybe the easiest one for me to program right now because I have the voice acting ready and most of the images are done. Other girls need some more images, voice acting or both, so I'll lower them on the priority list. I've been working on the Ai scene programming and I've got most of it done - I mostly need to edit and code the voice acting, then I can put all the text in and it'll be mostly ready, since I've completed most of the tasks over the last couple of days.

Other than that I actually don't know what I'll include next. Most of the easy stuff to make is already in the game, so I might move on and go directly into another sex scene once I'm done with that.

I'd like to be making images right now...

...but I'm waiting on my computer to be fixed. The latest news on that is that they're going to try a new power supply unit. If that doesn't work then they're going to refund the machine and I'll have to go find a new system. I guess that's a good thing.

Anyway, when I get the chance I'll be making more lobby scenes as well as sex images for Rio, so as to get that scene ready for programming.
