Chat Feature/Discord Update

Thanks for your feedback (and votes) regarding a potential Discord server, as well as your experience with the in-house chatroom feature.

At this time, I'm going to hold off on utilizing Discord, but I'm still open to it eventually. It requires a lot of oversight, setup, and will inevitably split the audience. While the Patreon chat is far from perfect, I think we have a good (and fun) thing going for now!

However, I've taken your feedback and have opened some new categorized chats that will help to organize discussions in the meantime:

• Introduce Yourself: My favorite part of this Patreon has been getting to know you guys! Regardless of how long you've been here, please swing by and refresh everyone on who you are. I'm also curious where many of you live (if you're comfortable sharing it), your interests, some of your favorite bands, fun facts about yourself...maybe even your best dad joke? Or your worst?

• Punk Music Chat: Let's not kid ourselves, this is the majority of it already! A whole channel just for punk rock music discussion, live shows, releases, crazy stories - you name it!

• Non-Punk Music Chat: I know the lines can be a little blurry regarding what's punk and what isn't for some bands, but here's a place for all other rock, metal, or even ambient shoegaze country jazz! You get the idea.

• Musician Talk: Let's get nerdy and talk music gear, stage rigs, setups, tones, continue arguing about precision basses versus jazz basses, and maybe learn something from a fellow patron. Even if you played the kazoo one time in 2002, please come hang!

• Off-Topic Chat: Anything and everything else. Sup?

• Ask Mark: I agree that the Patreon notification system can be frustrating and isn't user friendly, and I often miss questions you guys ask me for the same reasons. Here's a one-stop-shop for any questions you might have for me, and it'll be much easier to keep track of! So...AMA! No requests, please...we have a system for that! 😉
