2025-06-07 17:42:01 +0000 UTCYou guys should really listen to the original, which is also a remake. If this world was mine is originally sung by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. The sample is Luther Vandross (my favorite male vocalist of all time) and Cheryl Lynn she is the female sample in the end. Kai you and dad were vibing from different parts of the song. You can tell that Kai picked the faster parts of the music while dad is vibing to the slower parts of the vocals. If you watch yourselves back it is so easy to see which parts of the songs you're in sync with. The Grand National (GNX) that Kendrick is talking about the inspiration of the whole album. It is a limited edition that was made only in Black in 1987. Only 547 GNXs were produced. That's the car on the album cover. It is the theme of his whole GNX album and the current tour. It means something very specific to Kendrick.
