I believe they've covered that album on their YT channel. I'd love for Dad to hear Aquemini though!

Brittany Butler

Lol exactly! I saw this & clutched my pearls! Let's ease Pops into Pimp C, maybe 😂

Veronica Estrell

Takes me back

Veronica Estrell

That’s right, I recall the ratatat from that Scarface song now. Thanks! (dad)

The FrontRoom

In reference to the song "Protect and Serve" when you were talking about the ratatat line, Scarface Also says "Ratatatat..." in his chorus (and in versus) on the song "The White Sheet" on the album "The Diary" that ya'll reviewed

Ok, I'm currently watching this and had to pause for a sec. During "Pocket Full of Stones 2" you guys were trying to place why the hook sounded familiar. I personally think that it may be from Master P's song "make em say uhh" that you reviewed. This is my first full listen of this album and when I hear that chorus, I thought to myself, that sounds like Master P. Although, I knew/know it wasn't, that's what it reminded me of. You asked if someone could let you know in the comments, so I ran here to say what I thought maybe that was reminiscent of.

Tnulb

Pocket Full Of Stones Menace II Society Remix is not only better than the album version of the track but one of my favourite all time. You should definitely check that one out

More 3-2!! (R.I.P.)

ProRenae

Tell me something good by Rufus is sampled at the beginning of protect & serve

ProRenae

Yayo = Coke (not weed)

ProRenae

Can't wait for Too Hard to Swallow. Pocket Full of Stones & Something Good are classics.

ProRenae

I think of southern rap as the Stax Records of their time. Not mainstream like Motown, but way more soulful.

ProRenae

Thanks sooo much!!

ProRenae

produced by Juicy J and Dj Paul !

Adam Unierzyski

The fact that your dad is so new to rap but appreciates the unique southern style is great! Dad has amazing taste😎 Definitely have to listen to Ridin Dirty soon

Adrian Vera

This was going to be one of my request for the wedding song theme- if they chose the theme someone requested

Precious

I guessed UGK or Outkast. This is my first time listening to this album all the way through. Thanks for reaction. Hopefully this means Intl Players Anthem reaction is soon (video is a must)

Precious

On the point of Drake/UGK: Bun B. and Lil Wayne are on Drake’s song Uptown which is one of my faves from the So Far Gone mixtape 💿

Adrienne

I think Dad would appreciate OutKast's 1st album "southernplayalisticadillacmuzik"

jeff baker

“Yayo” is cocaine. The first Pocket Full of Stones is from the Menace to Society soundtrack. Front Back Side to Side is referencing hydraulics on the car

Menelik

You guys have to do the "Intl Players Anthem" UGK & Outkast it's a classic #pc25

Bunk

Whew this is some deep, down and dirty southern rap. 😅 Side note: I recently visited Bun B’s restaurant in Houston, TX called Trill Burger. The food was really good!! He now has a pocket full of legitimate money. 💰 😂

Jen M

I think it's time for Dad to listen to Moment of Truth, Midnight Marauders or Beats, Rhymes & Life

André Monteiro

Now that y'all have covered more UGK, it's time for International Players Anthem! It's wedding season, so I'm hearing this song so much lately lol

Kenysha

Notorious BIG - Life After Death Album 🙏🏼🙏🏼

mahamudsuldan

Dad hearing the deep dive albums 🤣 Maybe show him the bangers first haha!

JP

I just listened to Space Age Pimpin earlier!

Kenysha

I think slick Rick on children story was the first to use it in 1988

Jr Rick

Jr Rick
