PC22: Craig Mack - Flava In Ya Ear (Original & Remix)

Comments

I loved Craig Mack’s gritty voice and his cadence. And the beat! I got hype sitting on my couch. And the remix video was EVERYTHING!

Nipsey hussle racks in the middle, victory lap, blue laces 2

Keith is Keith Sweat.

ProRenae

Speaking of LL, if you haven't done Mama Said Knock You Out, please do so ASAP.

90s Rap Tee

When he said women scream like he's keith, he was referring to the legendary late 80's/90's singer/song writer/ producer keith sweat. He's regarded as one of the kings of modern r&b.

Jay Miller

I love Breakdown. It’s not a “blow you away” song per se, but a different style for Mariah and a great collaboration.

Jen M

Yes y’all need to cover Biggie’s debut album. It’s amazing. Also the song from him and Tupac called “Running”, which is also produced by Eminem. And I’ll add that Mariah Carey ft Bone Thugs song “Breakdown” you guys would love…in case you wanna do some more Mariah Carey

Drea Lansiquot

Really enjoyed LL cool j in the remix, so will definitely check out the Who Do Ya Luv remix whether on or off the channel. (dad)

The FrontRoom

Ooou 90’s remix have to do LL cool j - Loungin (Who Do Ya Luv) remix

Dewayne Williams

PC23 option...Blackstreet "Before I Let You Go". Blackstreet is an R&B group with HipHop swag/flavor. They were created by Teddy Riley who is one of the most talented and popular producers ever. Also, "Cool Like That" by Digable Planets (Jen M mentioned it here as well).

Tina E

I was thinking Keith Sweat too.

Tina E

Suggestions: Yebba - My Mind (live video at Sofar NYC) D’Angelo - Untitled (How Does It Feel)

Adrienne

So awesome you choose this selection— this song brings back memories …. Also, I think when Busta Rhymes referenced the name “Kieth”, he could have meant Keith Sweat? (just a guess)—Keith sweat is a 80s/90s RnB singer who still does concerts I am happy u both liked the song ….and yes, most people gravitate to the remix with all the fun feature artists on it😉

Janhann Turner

I’ve been waiting on their reaction to ‘Tribe Called Quest’ Kai said a while back they were going to react to an entire album.

Precious

Keith is Keith Sweat by the way... The rapper you didn't know is Rampage from the Flipmode Squad

Tonya G

For next week I suggest HAZARD DUTY PAY by JPEGMAFIA, it has somre really interesting samples and the beat is so soulful.

Theo Holmgren

I have so many stories from this era of hip-hop. Born and raised Ny-er. I wanted this one so bad so you could get a flavor of all the featured artist. RIP Craig, he didn't get his flowers as he should have. My favorite verse on the Remix is Busta Rhymes and LL Cool J. I was so blessed getting to see up and close personal to so many of these artist. Classic!!!

Tonya G

Really smooth jazz-infusez productions aswell :))

Theo Holmgren

Groove Theory’s version is good too!

Jen M

Have you guys ever reacted to Cool Like That by Digable Planets? If not, that’s my suggestion for next week. They were a rap group (2 guys and 1 girl) that had a neosoul flavor. They were way ahead of their time when they came out.

Jen M

I would like to suggest that you listen to Scenario, the original version not the remix, by Tribe Called Quest and others.

Shaquea White

Man, I forgot how good this remix was! Good pick. The video reminds me of the Brandy song, I Wanna Be Down Remix, which you guys covered. Bringing in all the great rappers just took it to another level! 🔥

Jen M

PC23: Hello’ Erykah Badu ft Andre 3000 OR ‘Prototype by Andre 3000(Outkast)-I know dad has heard several Erykah songs but he hasn’t heard the full artistry of Andre that is def. presented in these two songs. Hello is interpolation of Hello, It’s Me originally by Todd Rundgren/Nazz and covered by the Isley Brothers. If time permits would love for you to listen to a snippet of Todds or Isley version if you haven’t heard it.

Precious

LL Cool J - I Shot Ya Remix ( Iconic Prodigy Verse) , DMX - Let Me Fly , Tupac - Starin Thru The Rearview. Thats 3 Guaranteed Great songs to listen to and to react to

Cillian Downes

It would be awesome for the Next people’s choice if you guys reviewed Krayzie Bone’s new album Chasing the devil: Chapter 2 “Salvation”. This is the perfect example of an artist maturing and relaying messages to the masses. Kai and pops will enjoy this album! Guarantee it!

Sovieski Perez

This is the first that came to mind when you said 90's remixes. Classic

jeff baker

Any chance to request an album review? Is there a tier for that? I would really like if you guys could react/listen to Gucci Mane - Hard To Kill. It's the 1st full album he released after getting out of jail after the Young Jeezy self defense/Murder case. I see yall have reacted to a few Gucci songs. But I think this is still his best body of work today. Completely produced by Zaytoven. Its literally one of those albums that shaped both of their carrers. As a complete album it meshes well & maybe one skippable track. You guys have reacted to one song off it so far. Yea I'm a big Gucci supporter but I think this would give context to Gucci as an artist. His best music & where trap music really went from here. As Zaytoven blew up after this & Gucci... either way salute. Support your channel as well...

Love this song. Rip Craig mack...

Guys Keith is Keith Sweat. He was a popular R & B singer. Also I requested one of LL Cool J's remix I shot ya. It's just as good as this. You should still react to it. I'll request it for next week. Like someone else said LL's music evolves. He grows as rap grows. He's has a freestyle on YouTube from some years ago that still killing today.

Carla Davis

I’m so glad you got to hear LL Cool J on this track and see how he’s adapted you guys should check out his later songs they have great production and his flow is better
