EARLY ACCESS: STORMWEAVER 2 - Chapter 52 [ROUGH]
Added 2023-04-13 15:02:33 +0000 UTCI lied, lol.
This was supposed to be a surprise tomorrow morning, but I'm in a foul mood cause of r/Warformed drama, so I wanted to (hopefully) make some peoples' day and in turn make mine.
Posting despite the Monday chapter cause this is a quick one, but I think it'll still hit a lot of you pretty hard for obvious reasons ;)
Cheers all!

A few rules & reminders:
- Chapters will be dropping as Bryce completes them. That means anywhere from every 1 to 2 weeks on average, though sometimes waits may be longer.
- Recall that these are rough chapters, with no editing other than a single pass-through as Bryce writes.
- On a similar note, we are not asking for advice or corrections at this time. If Bryce wants feedback, we will certainly reach out, thank you! If you want to voice concerns or complaints about the chapter, you may now do so over on the Reddit discussion thread! Notifications are turned off on those conversations, so they're a free-for-all now (within the rules of the subreddit, obviously)!
That's it, so without further ado... Enjoy!

I've been waiting for this chapter for a long time. The fighting and growth is good but it can get tiring. The family story is great for bringing life back into the story. Please a few more of the family chapters before this book ends.

2023-04-21 18:08:30 +0000 UTCWell since it’s not them it’s unlikely to be her dad. Rei being alive does complicate her life and status in the family and this is probably a plot by Jasper to reveal to Rei who owns the company without breaking the Grandfather’s instructions. Not knowing Rei already knows and it’s a key factor in his refusal Jasper probably made things worse. There is a 90% chance this is going to make Rei’s older sister an antagonist for the foreseeable future.

2023-04-21 13:06:28 +0000 UTCYeah, nothing says “I’m sorry” like blatant manipulation and strong arm tactics. I mean it comes down to gramps being so afraid of rejection that he feels he has to “control the outcome” but thats just not how actual human relationships work. The funnest part being all there grand strategy and manoeuvring was completely undermined by like three minutes of google-fu.

2023-04-20 06:43:51 +0000 UTCReally hoping when Reis sister says she is going to kill "him", that the "him" is not Rei, but actually her grandfather.

2023-04-20 06:27:05 +0000 UTCYeah, gotta agree with you there. You'd think it would be obvious that his grandfather should have just gotten into contact with Rei at the academy through the headmaster after finding him and introducing himself and explaining what happened was not Rei being abandoned by the entire family. That his parents did that without him knowing they did it and when he found out he looked for him. And it would not be to hard to figure out what Rei would think what his family thought of him because all the grandfather knows is that Rei grew up believing his parents did not want him. So, I don't understand why, from the grandfathers point of view, his action was to approach Rei as a company wanting to sponsor him. That was a stupid thing to do!! You would think the grandfather, after finding out how smart and perceptive Rei was, he would give up the ghost and be straight with him about why they were really there. Never stops to think that once Rei realizes that while his parents might have abandoned him, that didn't mean there was no other family that didn't want him. That Rei would be happy to realize he actually had family that wanted him in their lives. But, no, that never crossed his mind. Never crossed his mind that Rei could care more about finding family that wanted him than he would about getting a sponsor that early. All his thoughts were on how to manipulate him into a sponsorship first then telling him the truth second after Rei gets to experience all the benefits he could get with the sponsorship. Yeah, Rei's grandfather is so smart he is stupid. He is as you said, he is playing himself!

2023-04-20 06:21:00 +0000 UTCYeah, Gramps still digging himself deeper in to the stupid hole. A classic case a smart people playing themselves.

2023-04-18 23:46:41 +0000 UTCI posted a question a while ago in one of Bryce's streamed AMAs, asking if Rei and Sarah were twins or if Sarah was a year older, and at the time Bryce admitted he had not made up his mind. But he also raised a third option - that it is possible for them to be in the same school year without being twins (this is sometimes referred to as the siblings being "Irish Twins"). So Sarah could have been born in the first month of the school year, her mother gets pregnant again within a few weeks, and Rei is born very late in the school year.

2023-04-17 18:49:06 +0000 UTCWay I read it was that Sarah was the first born child while Rei was born after her. He was willing to do stuff for the company and wait a few days rather than be there immediately because everything worked out fine with his first grandchild's birth. So Rei was born a year after Sarah.

2023-04-17 14:45:53 +0000 UTCIs rei’s sister being a second year a mistake? I remember Hirohito talking about how he had hoped to meet baby rei a few days after the sister was born so I thought they were twins. Or is she just so good that she got accepted to an academy a year early?
2023-04-16 21:59:17 +0000 UTCI was hoping his sister would be introduced in this book. If she is anything like ray she'll be a monster to anyone who hurts the people in the family she likes. Unlike a certain couple who we have not yet met.

2023-04-15 18:36:56 +0000 UTCBryce there's one thing that is a bit uncomfortable about Human Psychology and long lost siblings. Sorry in advance for knowing this particular bit of trivia. "Genetic sexual attraction is described as a phenomenon of intense attraction between biological family members that can occur after close relatives are reunited after a long period of separation. Generally (in adoption situations) this affects family separated from birth or very early in the life of the adopted child." Now, I'm not saying you should lean in to that. If anything I'm saying don't. But I also think it would be kinda funny if Catcher brought it up as a joke about being worried about it for a second and everyone looks at him like he grew a 2nd head.

2023-04-15 06:01:41 +0000 UTC“Cliffhangers ARE mean” to quote a phrase I heard recently. i love the family drama and have been waiting for more of their story. My wife being Japanese, I envision her family as Rei’s family and it works perfectly. I can’t wait to see how this unfolds.

2023-04-15 05:16:20 +0000 UTCSo many possibilities so little time. There are three possible Hims. Her Grandfather for keeping it from her, her father for abandoning Rei and Rei for ruining her future.
