Speedrun Explained 30: Update 2
Added 2021-05-26 19:24:50 +0000 UTCHey all, just wanted to send out an update on the first ever Patron chosen SPEEDRUN EXPLAINED, a giltchless speedrun to get married in Stardew Valley.
I reached out to a runner a couple weeks ago about working with me to make the video, and they said yes! They spent about a week de-rusting the category and recording the run for the video, and a week ago the two of us hopped on a Discord call to go over the run so I could get a bunch of info on it and have some questions I had answered.
Today I just finished up the script and sent it on over to them to review and leave any comments they have, so we're in the "revising the script" phase of the video making process. Hopefully we should go through this phase pretty quickly and I can get to recording soon.
It's hard to estimate when the video will be out, partly because I'm switching up what video editing software I use. I've used VEGAS for the past four and a half years and have been wanting to make the jump to Premiere since it has a lot more features and a much larger wealth of resources online to use for things like effects. It'll be a painful process to start, but in the long run will definitely help with the video creation process and allow for more ambitious projects later on.
If I had to ballpark it though for when the video will be up for viewing on Patreon, I would guess mid-June. I'll probably post one more update on this video as I get a better grasp on when it'll be out. I'm also going to be reaching out this week to the speedrunner I'd like to work with on the video after this one, but more news on that one once that's more concrete.
