October 2023 Update - Running a Horror One Shot
Added 2023-10-03 13:15:50 +0000 UTCHowdy folks. Another busy month in a real-life sense instead of a gaming sense, but I’ve still been getting a few things done. Still tinkering slowly on my forthcoming Pokémon game, my Candy County adventure, and a few other things. Probably my largest TTRPG investment this past month (and what used up most of my blog-writing time) was writing a long essay, with my cowriter, Dwiz of the A Knight at the Opera blog, on hexcrawls. This will be the first part of a longer series being published by Kobold Press, so importantly it is geared more toward 5e players who have never heard of the OSR or any of its innovations. So it may read as basic to your more enlightened ears.
For Halloween, I also plan to run Luka Rejec’s 1970s horror-inspired adventure, Let Us In, on the patreon discord server. I’ll suggest a few time slots and see what works best for the most people. If there is enough interest, maybe I will run games there more regularly. Let me know if you have any trouble getting into the discord server and I can usher you in.
