Hey folks, get ready for a sneak peek at Ashe's development! The May dev build for PC is here, packed with exciting new features.
Important Reminder: This build is for preview purposes only. Don't use it for regular saves, as things are still a work in progress and might break!
So, what's new?
Remastered Voice Files: The March recordings got a studio-quality upgrade! Using the base game's audio as a template ensures all future voice acting (both Anna's and other actors') blends seamlessly, sounding like it belongs in the world of Skyrim. Voice files are just a bit huge as they haven't been merged into FUZ files yet from WAVs.
Sneak Peek: New Animations! While not fully integrated into dialogues and idles yet, you can preview these using the "PlayIdle" console command or the Photo Mode mod. Get ready for a more immersive experience!
Aryo's Lab: A Development Preview: Explore this separate worldspace, showcasing the level of quality and detail you can expect from Ashe's environments. Find it in the Rift - "Aryo's Workshop" will be marked on your map.
New Skin and Eye Textures: The updated skin and eye textures from the development showcase and recent screenshots are now playable! The final mod will offer a choice between this and the "legacy" look, at least for the custom textures.
Refined Armor Textures: Subtle but important tweaks make Ashe's armor look even better, with adjusted shine and a more cohesive color scheme.
Character Details: New potion pouches and belts on Ashe's outfit visually hint at her reliance on magicka potions for energy.
Updated FOMOD: Easily customize your experience with the improved mod menu.
Bug Reporting: Found something wonky? Let me know! Your feedback helps polish Ashe into the best experience possible.
Coming Soon: Expect more dev build previews (screenshots and videos for those who can't try it out), glimpses of the supporting cast (voice acting and visuals), writing samples, and much more!
In terms of the release date, it's going to be slightly delayed. July looks to be the time I'll share early access, with the end of July, or month of August to be the public release.
This is truly shaping up to be a momentous project - I can't wait to share more of it with you.
A Note for Xbox Players: Don't worry, you haven't been forgotten! Dev builds and updates will be coming your way too - in due time. The uploading process just takes a bit longer on Xbox, so bear with me.
