I'm currently experimenting with some fresh cinematic concepts while filming the Version 4.1 Content Preview. In the past, gameplay previews were simply me interacting with Serana in first-person, which could feel a bit mundane. I've used Alternate Conversation Camera occasionally for a slightly more dynamic view, but it mainly offered two static third-person angles and some jarring transitions.
Recently, I discovered the FreeFlyCam mod, which allows for more fluid and cinematic camera movements during dialogues. Given the popularity of Tik-Toks and other short-form videos, incorporating more cinematic elements into gameplay videos seems like a great way to keep them engaging and less monotonous.
Note: The camera movements are still a bit jittery, but I'm addressing that by switching to a controller for smoother motion control, rather than the constant pressure or keypress of a keyboard. For the actual video takes, I'll also be removing NPC names and cursors - what you're seeing now is just a proof of concept.
For the next few days, I'll be focusing on filming the 4.1 content and its promotion, as the release date is fast approaching. Also in the works is an XMas/New Years Audio Drama Special with Kerstyn, so definitely keep an eye out for that!
