Fall Colors
Added 2022-10-17 23:00:03 +0000 UTCWith all the the beautiful Autumn colors in western MA, I had to get out and make a quick video. As I'm learning, the art of getting 1. clear shot, 2. good audio and 3. no GLARE.. is just as tricky as making a good painting!
As this post is scheduled to go live, I'm supposed to be in LA (Monday the 17th) and will be back next week with the Natural Approach series live.
This little video is a helpful reminder for learning how to mix colors.

It gets easier with time, the secret is really understanding the palette as an instrument and hitting the proper notes regarding their Hue/Value/Chroma relationships.

2022-12-01 18:09:52 +0000 UTCAs a beginner watching you work at such a rapid speed and hit all the colors spot on is just amazing and overwhelming at the same time. I agonize over matching color and watching this video makes me wonder if I can every achieve that style of painting. However, enjoyed the video this gives me something to try on my own in less then 30 minutes .. :)
