Fallout: London - Patch 1.02 Update!

Greetings, everyone! We’re thrilled to announce that we will soon be putting out Patch 1.02, which is probably the biggest update to Fallout: London yet! This will be coming in the next couple of weeks and we will be releasing a video alongside this one - It's just that big.

Here’s what you can expect:

Bug fixes:
This patch brings a huge amount of improvements with well over 1,000 fixes!

We've decided to make our real-time changelogs public, so you'll always be able to see what's coming in the next patch:
 https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qTHHRBjaKituLhWsOBQtYsH1oXkZQljkQNaiHTyfNRY/edit?usp=sharing

(This should be useful when it comes to submitting bug reports, so you can check if your issue has already been fixed!)

We’ve tackled everything from bug fixes to performance enhancements. Whether it’s quests, crashes, or visual glitches, your experience will be smoother than ever.

(Bob the builder mode, activated.)

Quest Overhaul:
Quests have been a major focus. We’ve addressed hundreds of issues related to broken triggers, missing dialogue, and progression blockers. Fallout: London’s quest flow is now far more intuitive, ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish. You asked, we fixed!

(Some quests have been redone from scratch to sort them out!)

Performance & Optimisation:
We’ve worked hard to optimise performance. Expect faster load times, smoother gameplay, and fewer crashes, especially with the improved LOD (Level of Detail) system and collision mesh fixes. The game should now run better across all setups, and we’ve even managed to improve base Fallout 4’s performance in some areas!

(Old VS New!)

Level Design Improvements:
We’ve reworked level flow to make exploration easier, addressing areas that were confusing or hard to navigate. Those annoying floating objects that broke immersion? We’ve got rid of nearly 700 of them! These stupid floating items which were scattered across London’s worldspace should no longer be there breaking immersion. With YOUR help, we made sure to remove or properly replace them, this should ensure a more "grounded" and believable world.

(Floaties begone!)

Visual Improvements:
The infamous "brown face bug" has also been tackled the best it can be, we've done our best to regenerate all of our NPCs and improve the Thamesfolk race! From major bug fixes to new textures, this patch brings a lot of polish to the aesthetic side of the game, ensuring that the world and its people look better and feel more cohesive - And shouldn't break as much.

(We’re only modders, we’ve done our best to fix the BFB but this engine is old.)

In Patch 1.02, we’ve added more customisation options for the Thamesfolk, allowing us to tailor their appearance and make them stand out even more. If you’re planning on modding Fallout: London, you can now tweak facial features and add new hairs to give them a unique style, you'll have even more flexibility to create a distinct look.

(New Thamesfolk tinting!)

We’ve also fixed issues with certain hairstyles that were previously causing visual glitches or clipping problems. Now, the Thamesfolk (and others!) can sport their hairstyles without any hiccups.

(New hairs? Chef Kiss)

 3D Asset Upgrades:
On top of that, we’ve resolved over 100 issues with newly added assets, ensuring that everything, from ashtrays to landmarks, work as intended. Plus, we took it a step further by fixing nearly 300 of Bethesda’s collision meshes, preventing crashes not just in Fallout: London, but even improving the core Fallout experience.

(We’ll fix your mess Bethesda, don’t worry.)

The 3D team has even crafted new statues and other monumental assets that dot the London landscape! We've also added some cool new assets which we won’t spoil here, because we want you to find them in game!

(The new Churchill statue is looking sexy!)

2D Asset Upgrades:
Our 2D artists continued to work their magic, creating new textures, improving signage, and adding extra flair to London's world. There wasn't too much to fix here, as these were already fan favourites, but we’ve taken the time to address minor spelling errors and smooth out some signage.

(We R cun Spull, pRoMize!)

Animation Upgrades:
Neeher’s been at it again by fixing up some of the initial animations that weren't quite up to scratch. He’s revisited these, refining the way certain weapons look and behave in combat. Expect sharper reload sequences on the Webley, and an overall improved flow when handling it!

(New Webley animations? Why not!)

Music & Audio Balancing:
The Fallout: London soundtrack has grown to nearly 150 tracks, with improved audio balancing across the board. Whether you’re wandering eerie ruins or bustling streets, the sound will feel more natural and immersive. We’ve also fixed missing voice lines and sound effects to help the world feel more alive!

(A huge thanks to Dansky!)

Community Feedback:
A massive thank you to everyone on our Discord for reporting bugs and giving feedback. We’ve taken all your suggestions on board and implemented changes to improve the game for everyone. Your input has been invaluable in helping us squash those pesky bugs and refine the game.

(A huge thanks to YOU!)

What’s Next?
-= Getting the patch out, of course! =-
Looking ahead, we’re continuing to fine tune this patch, implementing any final bits of bug fixing. We will keep polishing, balancing, and testing to ensure everything meets the high standards you’ve come to expect.

In the further future we also hope to bring even more exciting NPCs, lore, and features to London in another patch further down the line. We’ll also be focusing on resolving issues with settlement system quests and working on fixes for AMD users who are experiencing crashes.

Until then, we thank you all for your support, and don’t forget to join our Discord and support us on Youtube when the patch video goes out!

Stay safe and remember. Mind the gap.

Okay, this is awesome. I have no problem starting over, but will this break 1.01 save files?

Gang, this is remarkable. Everything about your end product and organization reflected in this email says “AAA studio” not “small group of modders.” I understand the obvious reasons of why you can’t make money off of this game but it kills me that y’all aren’t raking it in from such a masterpiece. I am humbled by what you have created out of passion. I am grateful, and I am in awe. Much love, gang. -Doug
