Why the Liberal Party are DOOMED

[Early Access]

Hello Patrons,
This is our final election wrap-up video, and it's a meaty one. We've decided to take a deep dive on people in the media who think they have the election all figured out and the future of the Liberal party. Spoiler alert: They are doomed.

This will be coming out on Monday but we wanted to give it to you early. Additionally, the first video for the higher patreon tiers has been filmed and will be released in the next few days. It's based on things we've heard behind the scenes about Greens infighting in the leadup to the election. Look forward to that one.

Jordan has also made another appearance on Into the Weeds with Jeremy Buckingham, expect that to be out on Sunday as well.

Thank you all for your support, enjoy the early video!

So busy on the picket line at the port I totally missed the new shirt!?! 😱 I have very little money left. But if I sell some of the kids toys, I can afford a new merch shirt to wear on the picket line. ✊ Join your Union.

Hi Jordies, I really liked your video on Papua and was wondering if you could do a video on Indias plans to "build a new Hong Kong" on a pristine rainforest Island home to an Indigenous tribe called the Shompen. Genocide experts have warned thay this plan will completley wipe the Shompen out and cause irreversible damage to an otherwise pristine ecosystem.

Sussssan is probably gonna last until July when 3 of the party members who voted for her retire from parliament. I reckon she’ll be done in a Lib Spill

I will say that One Nation did do well in the senate picking up three seats, not better than Labor and stealing one from the greens. But history shows most of those one nation seats defect to an independent and have even more of a Ralph Babet spinning the yarn!

Leo Dewberry

Still waiting for an entire video on Ralph. Contender for being the dumbest person ever elected in Australia.

Reminds me of when Kamala Harris lost the US election, and Democrats were actually trying to argue it's because she talked too much about transgender people, a thing that I don't think she brought up even in passing. What I'm trying to say is America is basically Australia if we only voted Coaltion. And the Greens/Teals were even more threadbare. And One Nation successfully took over the Nationals. And Labor was snuffed out in the crib.

@jordie I convinced a bunch of my mates to vote labor for the first time this election. I’m coming to your alien show on Tuesday in Perth. And unless you switch your show to the tale as old as Rome content (I fkn missed it) I’ll convince them to switch back (gag me with a stick) This hurts me as much as it hurts you. Let’s all just be rational and make the right decisions. Regards Strap

Give me a chairman albo shirt for free and I will wear it everyday I go to Toowoomba, it'll be a meme. Do it Jordies, I'll even leave it unwashed like a commie peasant for you

It did pass, but it didn't get written into the constitution, which was what the referendum was for.

The13Inquisitor

I was at my branch meeting last week. Yep.

The most interesting thing about the voice referendum was not it's relevance to the Federal election,NO votes are as common as muck, so it was no indicator at all as to how people would vote. The most interesting thing is that media hacks kept going on and on about it non stop, even though in between Albo's 1st and 2nd win there really was a once in a 100 year event THE ASTON BY ELECTION.A sitting gov. winning a seat from the opposition is historic, especially Labor winning a Liberal seat.Aston is one of the so called "Aspirational Class"electorates that the Liberals think they are entitled to,so for them winning it was crucial(I must admit,I wasn't certain Labor would retain it)the fact that the media during the the election campaign talked non-stop about the voice but kept their traps shut about Aston is proof they only wanted us to hear anything pro Coalition and hoped we would forget anything positive for Labor. Labor did retain Aston and got rid of Michael Sukkar as well,no wonder Labor crushed it.

gary reeder

Ayyy I made the first 10 seconds. The face of young men in the Labor party at 34 years old 🀣

George

I may be blatantly uninformed but didn't the voice vote get passed anyway under the radar? Idk

Zesty

But f---, he's an intelligent, well educated bugger who always lands on his feet. He not only speaks at least 5 languages, he also watches, waits and plays all sides against the middle. Radical change of government in the US? He's still employed.

I’m from labor’s soft left in New South Wales. It’s reversed where a lot of people referred to the hard left as the soft right. The soft left is basically built around the CFMEU.

Sir Jo

Good video, very cool πŸ‘ (Keen as a bean for the Into the Weeds pod w/ Jordan)

Ive said it before, but.... The liberals were a "broad church". That was fine before everyone became ideologically aware and radicalized by social media. They (Liberal Party) mistakenly leant into culture wars which fractured their constituency. The only way out of this for them is if people become less ideologically radical and that doesn't appear to be possible at all. In contrast, the Labor party has a consistent and popular ideology.

I just love how one of the cartoonists for the Guardian drew a thing recently about Albo saying that he was so unambitious that he would be forgotten, like how is doing major industrial relations reform, cracking down on multinational tax cheats and enacting a plan to transition the economy away from fossil fuels unambitious lol.

Aston Bailey-Fong

Albo being really unimposing and boring but also charming because of his voice and lisp is the perfect mix on what makes a good long term pm, Rudd was too much of a chad to do anything long term outside of state politics
