My parents bought this for my brother and I for the Amiga and I had to do 30 minutes to an hour to play real computer games. I guess it prepared me because I destroyed all my classmates at typing once we started doing if for school. *edit* on man that intro song brings back memories....

I remember a typing thing we had to do in Grade 5 once. The teacher reprimanded me for how I typed because my WPM was too high, saying I needed to type more "proper"... Yes, seriously, she said my WPM was too HIGH... *shakes head*

To this day I am pretty sure I would fail Mavis Beacon's class, haha. I never pushed myself too hard as a typist and still find myself glancing down every now and then..

I remember my school having one tymping teaching program but it had no soul at all. So no Mavis, uncanny valley Mario, Zombie hunters, or anyone. It was really boring... and I don't think anyone learned anything from it. I eventually learned typing fast by myself due to chats and forums trying to reply as fast as possible.

Love it, total trip down memory lane to those days when we believed that Mavis Beacon was real, and thought that Carmen Sandiego was cool. Not to mention driving the teacher nuts playing national athems on PC Globe through the IBM's ridiculously loud PC speaker... Oh how time flies, almost makes me want to trade in the i7 for one of those new in box AT's...
