LGR

What version of the ivue camera glasses do you use?

John Reading

So I've heard, I look forward to playing it sometime!

LGR

Yeah, that'd definitely be one of those receivers I'd want just due to the look of it. That blue lighting is awesome.

LGR

Speaking of ridiculous record prices, I went to The Restorations Station for the first time and the first thing I saw when I walked in was King crimson's In the court of the crimson king for 150.00. I was flabbergasted. I remember getting that on ebay for ~$5 maybe a couple years ago. I didn't know why it was that much and I was too afraid to ask.

Yay you got Jade Empire!! It's easily my favorite BioWare game. It's seriously underrated!

Jess the Stampede

I wonder which model those Marantz speakers are, because they really made some sweet gear back in the day. If you ever run into the models with real wood veneer, such as the HD series... you really ought to nab those! The double digit HD series had foam grills, while the triple digit had cloth grills. That Pioneer SX-535 looks like a decent little receiver. Released iin 1974 - 1975. Only 20 watts per channel though. Still really neat to see! Great finds too, by the way. I wish I still had the little black and white television I once had! I remember hooking my SNES up to it and playing Yoshi's Island. Haha.

ReeseRiverson

Ah thanks!

TempleTurkey

I wanted to get it a trade it in for a rifle

LGR

That makes sense. Totally understandable :) Sometimes it is best to keep hobbies as hobbies only!

Lindsay Michelle

Thanks, I'm liking the look too! And yeah, it's always tempting to do more videos on those projects, but for the most part I do them as a hobby now. Since most of my other hobbies became my job, they're less fun now sadly. So I try to keep a few things set aside to just enjoy myself and not make videos on :)

LGR

There are a couple of them doing that here, too. Elton John, Diana Ross, Olivia Newton-John, Billy Joel, doesn't matter; 5 bucks. Or even seven or eight if it's something like, with a cool cover? Saw Asia's Alpha for eight bucks the other day.

LGR

The jackpot is bizarrely satisfying! It feels like winning, even though you're just getting your own money tossed onto the floor, haha

LGR

Amazing third-party sellers are a real toss up, yeah. I've had some great luck with them in finding boxed PC games though, as often they don't seem to know what they have

LGR

There's actually an old-school TV and electronics repair shop right down my road :) They still have all these classic signs up for Sony, Admiral, Goldstar, Motorola, etc

LGR

Happy to hear it!

LGR

Thanks for the info!

LGR

Glad you're still enjoying! And yeah, I've got a closet packed full of sound absorbing foam to set up, haha

LGR

"If"?

Chip and dip!

If you ever become a super hero then wood grain will be you kryptonite.

Justin Dotson

Love the look of your new office. The soundproofing tiles really give it style. :D You should start a show about your tech projects. I know you already do videos on what you fix up (like with the Barbie and Hot Wheels computers), but maybe make an official video series on it with a title and all? That might be fun... just suggesting :)

Lindsay Michelle

It really bums me out that the Goodwills in the area, especially the one with the rock, are now slapping $5.00 tags on any albums from artist that they may have at one time heard of.

You gotta name that rock. I'd suggest : "Rocky the rock". Jade Empire ! Man, that's a damn good game ! :) Also, all I know from the Ink Spots is "Maybe" from Fallout's intro. ^^ I noticed a similar screen for Gamecube consoles on Amazon.com. But at 100 € (not counting shipping to France) -> yeah, how about no. A lot of Amazon 3rd part sellers like to sell things at absurdly high prices...

Maximilien Noal

well yeah bought a tv like that only in color, for way to much money (but if it broke you get like 30-50€ of scrap parts out of it) but yeah it broke it just burned the tube or something. Well unfortunatile noone knows how to fix those things around here. And yes it seemed to work but those tvs don't work until you've got a clean picture and even that it can breake after a while. But in america you have more look into finding a guru that will prepare some shamanitc rutial and make this thing last forever and probably will also show you have to become a tube tv summoner yourself. All Hail the TV TUBE.

Ezydenias

Big fan of the thrifting videos, even if I don't really do much in real life.

Mighty Jabba's Collection

It's an apple peeler! You can get them at walmart: http://www.walmart.com/ip/28329881?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&adid=22222222227019022849&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=40345989512&wl4=&wl5=pla&wl6=78310958792&veh=sem

Zem Hysong

So does everyone know that Goldstar was the corporate forerunner to LG?

Kevin Furr

Nice sound proofing. :D Living with an audio producer, our old place was covered in that. Ah, thrifts again. I never fail to get excited when I see one of these get posted. It's just so satisfying to see all the games, old tech, weird things, and the nostalgia factor is high. :)

Mintaka

Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying! And check the video description for that info.

LGR

BTW what camera glasses do you use?

TempleTurkey

One of the main reasons why i pledged to you, this and oddware reviews. Keep up the rad content :D

TempleTurkey

Or, maybe born to do YouTube videos, which involves a lot of that? ;)

LGR

You know, every time I watch your thrifting videos I get the idea stuck in my head that you were actually born to do something like sound design or engineering, I wonder why..

Manuel Adrian

Thanks for the support!

LGR

Someone actually did notice me, asked if it was my lucky rock or something. I said yep, and that was that :D

LGR

They are sound absorbing tiles, yep! Insulation would go *inside* the walls :)

LGR

Awesome video again man, thanks for the contentπŸ˜ƒ

RetroGamesAndMore

Is that sound insulation you have lining the walls of your office? Or just a funky wall pattern?

Kevin Furr

Is that weird guy petting that rock? Yeah, let's go to the other goodwill.
