LGR - Cities: Skylines Snowfall Review

That explains why it was suddenly raining in my city after a few months of inactivity. I'm grateful that it was snowing, I already spent half the day shoveling...

Well the more this game advanced the more I am likely to try it again. But for me so far this game was way weaker than simcity 5 so I stand with simcity 4. But maybe if it puts enough atmosphere in it I can overlook the weak simulation. Which I hope is improving too.

It's an interesting approach, but a bit of a shame that it's not fully integrated. Maybe it's a stepping stone, and if it is… hopefully not another DLC pack.

Thanks for the review. The lack of integration to existing maps turns me off. If they make a change, will you re-address it?

It's very pretty to see the snow, but I live in a tropical country and it would feel very awkward for me to plan things for neverending winter. But the rain very welcome

Kaipivara

Yes, that definetely leaves us thinking. I think they are planning a more complex weather/season system. But who knows

Oh, so this is why Steam updated my Cities: Skylines game yesterday. :P Maybe I'll grab this xpac on sale sometime... we'll see. ...And you're never going to stop mentioning eerie ambiance in your videos, are you? :)

Well, with the snow mechanic there now, along with rainfall, and considering the kinds of updates they seem to do to the game in general, I've got a hunch dynamic, changing seasons and weather forecasting may be in the works. Heck, even the description of the pack notes a "new in-game weather system" which isn't exactly accurate, but not exactly inaccurate... Hmmmmmmmm...
