LGR - Iron Blood - DOS PC Game Review

I didn't know that such cool DOS korean games existed ! I feel you unearthed a whole treasure chest ! :o In fact, I feel like submitting to my archive panic and buy them *all* on ebay or something, but I don't have the money nor storage space. Clint, you are our only hope ! I'm sure covering more of less known games will help making them be remembered. Everyone remembers US DOS games or US NES games, but there is so much more to the history of video games than that ! PS : The music at the end is so. very. good !

Got to echo the sentiments, it does look badarse (sorry, Queen's English and all that) indeed. Always interesting to see a good looking game that fell through the cracks back in the day. :D

Rob Caporetto

This game looks kinda badass.

damnit GOG.com needs to grab this!!! and you! in the balls of steel! heheh.. great great video. Do you ever get sick of hearing that phrase? "great video" ? I need a better way to say that... hmmmm Scrumdidly-umptuous Cinematic!!! hmm.. lil long in the mouth...

Ohhhhh I get it now, haha.

Just a pun on the title being "Iron Blood" :)

Love the LGR letter bling on your shelf!! :) But speaking of letters, I'm not sure how letters can fade-in unironically... lol. I wasn't aware letters could fade-in ironically, either... am I missing some sort of reference I am not aware of, or were you just being silly in your script? :P

Oh yes, that game was awesome. I remember seeing it and thinking it was mighty impressive for the hardware

Reminds me of an NES game I had as a kid called "MetalStorm". I love giant fighting robots.

It's one of those situations where it's notable when watching footage, but actual gameplay is fine, at least to me!

LGR

That framerate... x_x;

Kris Asick

Sure thing!

LGR

wow! that looks fantastic! Thanks for the review

That's awesome! Microforum had a dedicated presence in Italy, so that makes sense :)

LGR

I actually bought this game when I was in my early teen years! Here in Italy every single Microforum published game was dirt cheap, like 5€ each (well, there still were liras back then), but they only had a jewel case and the CD inside, nothing more. I remember this game being extremely interesting but I always found it very difficult and hard to play, for some reason... I have to take my old CD out of the closet and try it out now! Neat choice, sir! :D
