The Case of Richard Allen

Hey everyone! Sorry for the delay, I know I'm posting this later than usual but I was working on this right up until now as you can imagine! Crazy story now that he has been convicted, I tried to be as impartial in this as I could be and wanted to show both sides. What's your onion ring? Think he did it or no?

The Case of Richard Allen

Comments

Gun would have been very loud & as he was concerned about being seen he may have silenced them by cutting their throat then used the gun later when he felt nobody was around. I believe they have the right man but we're all entitled to opinions when we don't know what authorities know. The man who told them to get down the hill looked just like the man in custody & not athletic. He did look like he was concealing something in his right hand to me on that bridge.

I literally just saw that Todd Click one of the officers in this case was arrested for multiple felonies…he made calls and went to appointments he didn’t go to regarding this case? Just heard this but don’t know details yet….

Hello again, Mike and fellow TChapterians (Chapterists??). Thank you, Mike and two other members for liking my comment. Yesterday I posted a comment on another YT channel where I pointed out two things: 1. Everyone one there said he panicked when seeing the white van, and that's why he didn't assault and killed them instead. BUT, as clearly a gun was involved, if he was in panic, why wouldn't he shoot them, which is far quicker them cutting their throats? 2, and most important: how is an almost 50 years old man, a short, chubby and not at all athletic man, capable of killing with a knife (or an X-acto) two young girls that hadn't been doped, restrained or struck in the head, provoking a concussion? He'd probably had trouble in holding one of them steady enough to make a clean cut (at least no one mentioned tentative cuts or any other cuts that would be probable if the victim was squirming), let alone two. And why didn't the other girl escape while he was killing the first one? Even if he could have catched her (which I doubt), she would be found apart of her friend, not close to her. This alone tells me that there was more than one person involved.

Yes! They have to decide: either he was crazy, and therefore the confessions aren't valid, or he wasn't crazy and therefore they shouldn't been administrating Haldol. I've seen, on another channel, many people saying that he wasn't "quite" in solitary confinement, because he had a tablet (I don't know if this is true) and could talk with those in suicide watch (which were either other inmates or the guards themselves - nice company, no doubt) and phoned his mother (as to my knowledge, 2 times in 13 months). To those, I say only this: I don't know how rigorous were confinement orders there in the US, but do you remember how people complained going crazy because they couldn't go out? Add to that not going out OF A TINY ROOM, not even have a WINDOW to open, breathe fresh air and look at the sky... There's your answer.

Paula Bernardes-Silva

Apparently he also confessed to killing his wife and daughter who are clearly alive. My thinking is being in prison, which he should never have been before a conviction, made him lose his mind...

I feel so off about this case and verdict. The amount of evidence is just not there. We still have two different sketches and we are not even 100% certain the killer is the man in the video or even that he's Richard Allen. If he did this then obviously he deserves the worst but.. it just feels wrong.

Dena

Not sure the judge handled this case properly.

Your FPL Station

Clearly, the jury was full of unreasonable people. Beyond a reasonable doubt? Lmao, not even close

Bobo Jenkins

Amazing job Mike!

Gabrielle Ribas

FYI, he was a pharmacy technician, not an actual pharmacist.

Rhonda Jockisch Tisdale

This case has had me puzzled from the start. I’m just not convinced he did it, 100%, without a doubt. Terrible if he didn’t do it - for him, his family, the community, and most importantly, the girls families, because that means there is a real nut still out there somewhere. Just devastating

Colleen Chapman

This is amazingly fishy. I’m staying away from Indiana!

Nisar8009

I don't think he did it.. I don't know what made him confess.

Anne Newgent

Too many dodgy stuff going on. He seems to have lost his marbles along the way

Linda Rackstraw

Wow... I remember the first time seeing this case. One for the captain's hat!! Love ya Mike!!

Leah Carter

You've done this story b4 right? So this one's an update. Gotcha 🫡

JIM CASTRO

My gut feeling Allen did not do it... i think the authorities grabbed him out of convenience because people wanted this to be solved so badly. I am super iffy about Keegan tho

Jenny Enochs

I think it's crazy that they can lock you up before you've even gone to trial. The psychs were injecting him with involuntary Haldol injections for a few months which is crazy to think if the staff actually thought he was faking it.

Rosa Lim

Mind bending. I can't decide if Allen did it or not. He seems crazy crazy, but if he did know those particulars that were not public knowledge...all the Odinism stuff...I've heard Odinists are big in some prisons now, both a religion and gang for white guys. But the real Norse pagan religion is not sinister; just like wicca vs. satanism. Anyway this is a real puzzle. Thanks Mike, great presentation of the case!

Deadladyofclowntown

Thanks Mike😽😽

Lorithecat

In every religion/ path there are always groups who veer away and take their own corrupt path, claiming to be something they aren’t. It sounds as though there is some awful cult version of Odinism in those parts. Whether or not they did this, I don’t know, but with all the links it does seem a real possibility. it seema to make more sense than Richard Allen being guilty. I'm pagan, although not a follower of Norse traditions, i have friends who are. They would be disgusted and shocked if this was done as some contrived ritual to Odin.

Ryker Jett

Thanks, Mike! Contrary to most posters, I actually think he may be innocent (we all know confessions prove nothing, have seen that over and over, especially when the conditions of imprisonment make you go crazy AND you are given the police files on the case). But what I'm sure of is that he hasn't had a fair trial, starting with the crappy police work and ending at the judge's bias. I hope he'll be granted a new trial, and also hope that evidence collected doesn't "misteriously" disappear (as misteriously as people investigating the case have died). Love ya!

Paula Bernardes-Silva

Mike's the man.

Halldór Þormar Hermannsson

Good point! I’ll add in a clarification

That Chapter

Just to clarify Nordic Paganism or "Odinism" don't have any connection to human sacrifices, white supremacy or any of that. The Nazis where obsessed with some aspects of Nordic Paganism and since then Neo-Nazis, Extreme-right groups and other nutcases have "adopted" some of it. It's like saying that the Nazis had a connection with Hindusm, since the swastika is a several thousand year old Hindu symbol. Just saying

This case was sooooooo F’ing important, and the way this town F’ed it up soooo bad is one of the most disturbing things that could happen. I cannot believe how much they messed up. I really hope the parents are content with how all this turned out because that’s all who matter, and I also hope those babies are able to rest peacefully 🙏🏼🕊️🕊️.

Monica Corona

I think he did it, but I don’t think they proved he did it I should say. I have a feeling he’ll go home tho because of how shitty every thing was handled.

Monica Corona

I've followed this case closely since they first found Abby and Libby. I honestly can't figure out if I think he's guilty or not. Glad I wasn't on the jury

Riss Young

I think they got it right 👍🏽.

Monica Corona

Mike! Perfect timing! Muah!

Didi Cortez

I definitely think he’s guilty. I have always felt that way. I was really concerned though that it would be a hung jury and I’m still surprised there was no DNA. This happened very close to where I live so I am happy to see it finally come to a close. So sad though.

Marty_61

Ridiculous how quick you made this! Thank you Mike

Rose

Always worth the wait! Thanks Mike

Halldór Þormar Hermannsson
