I freakin' love the Observer episodes!! They're so fascinating to me and I don't even know all the details about them yet. Imagine having that kind of power over humankind though?! CRAZY! I'm so happy that Walter passed the test BUT it makes me terrified for what's to come, like Walter, I fear for Peter's life! BRILLIANT episode, yet again.

Time travel shows always have my head spinning. The butterfly effect is just one reason. They'd be very hard to write for, I'd imagine. So many potential logic holes could happen. For this show, I was wondering why the observers cared about it. Is there one specific timeline they want to happen? If so, why? Even if they weren't involved, so many individual choices or unplanned happenings could change history, even if someone wasn't trying to on purpose. It's mind boggling. If things can't be changed, then that hints at some devine plan. Something that is fated to happen. But then that leads to no true free will. It's hard to believe that there aren't a million tiny changes that happen every day that would have to happen exactly as planned. It's so hard to explain my thoughts about this! What I'm getting at is that it shouldn't matter if someone goes back in time and changes something. Even if you have something specific you want to happen, there could me thousands of ways for that same thing to happen. Just differently. ugh! I hate time travel tropes!

2025-05-27 21:27:59 +0000 UTCIn your intro you said we don't know why the Observer saved Peter, or why Peter is important etc. We do know why. That Peter was supposed to live when Walternate found the cure but the Observer distracted him. So the Observer incorrectly ruined the timeline, the timeline where Peter was going to live, hence the Observer saving Peter and telling Walter to keep him alive.
