New fav ep so far haha. They just get better. The comedy in this one had me creasing! It was so good! Inara has the heart eyes for Mal and it's showing hard...it's just Mal can't see it! Saphron was such an interesting character, kinda hope we see more of her.

Love to see you having so much fun in this episode! I like how the crew of Serenity are thematically paired : Zoe and Jayne, even if they don't have much in common, are the first line of defence (or offence) on Serenity. In this episode in particular, Wash and Kaylee show that beside being extremely good at their specific job, they have a common language: they talk "machine" and so they work well together on the technical side of things. Simon and Inara are both from higher society and can feed information on that society and on what is going on on core/Alliance planets and moons. Finally, Malcolm and the shephard have a similar sharp mind; they are tacticians of sort and they they can size people quite fast, what they want and what they need, the good and the bad. This left only River not paired up; she is the ugly little duckling, not quite fitting anywhere. Oh, and the guy that wanted the ship is Benito Martinez. He was Edgar the Leviathan in Supernatural.

2024-06-08 00:15:28 +0000 UTCSaffron would have just thought that River was crazy and paid her little or no mind, but River would have seen through the mask right away. Also there were some cultures that viewed the ceremony that we saw as a marriage(Usually a little more was involved, but the same idea.) Zoe was mad because of the effect that Saffron was having on Walsh. She probably sensed that something was a little off with the girl, but Walsh just wanted to defend Saffron, instead of agreeing with Zoe that something didn't quite add up. Naturally Inara would have recognized the dance and tried to stop it.
