Hello All!
An introduction episode to new characters and setting up the mains tory arc with the big bad. I wanted to scream at people to listen to Stiles or at least reassure him that he isn't crazy! Looks like Theo is up to no good! Parish & Lydia appear to be getting closer which is very sweet to see & Scott & Kira seem very comfy in their relationship & talking about colleges too. Let's hope Tracy doesn't give us too much hassle now as well...also...I miss Derek, that is all. `

I'm late to this reaction - normally I catch these right away, but it's already Tuesday! Anyway, great reaction Dak, as always. I really liked this one. As you said, it IS a bit slower than episode 1, because it is a lot of setup, but it's the good kind of slower episode that we've come to expect from Teen Wolf in the earlier seasons. It's densely packed with plotlines, relationships, and mysteries, even if there isn't a ton of action. I think this one was really well-written and it accomplished a lot. I really liked the moment at the end with Stiles and his dad, and Stiles realizes about the ring. It's funny because that ties in directly with what you were saying about no one taking Stiles' suspicions of Theo seriously. Even his dad was ready to dismiss it, but when he notices the missing ring, that's the moment that reminds his dad that Stiles notices the little things, and he offers up the advice about waiting. Which, aside from being good advice, I think expresses that he's allowing for the possibility Stiles may be right. I obviously won't give anything away, but yeah... this is a scary season. That's part of why I love it so much. I know you're not the biggest fan of scary stuff, so be warned. You might want to watch these during the day, lol. Have a great week!

2023-11-14 22:11:24 +0000 UTCNot a ton of action in this one, but a lot of substance. I wasn't sure where the Tracy nightmares theme was going, but that reveal near the end was really well done. Those evil steampunk scientists or whatever they are were very creepy, but quite slow; uh, run or even just walk swiftly away Tracy. Stiles seemed slightly more manic than usual, but I liked it. When he told his father he realized what was different my heart hurt. The reason is quite personal, but involves a death. I knew Stiles was right about whatshisname. I'm really interested in finding out what this arc will be and if we lose anyone. Always remember, if we can lose Allison, we can lose almost anyone. One little touch I really appreciated was when the deputy was inspecting Tracy's skylight and asking her about seeing a raven trying to get in, the camera went to her and behind her was a big black wing on the wall that looked like it was coming out of the left side of her back. Cool visual. I honestly don't remember seeing it earlier, but it was artwork maybe? Scooby hair? You should see Cleo hair. Her fur flies off of her like projectiles. I wear mainly black clothes, but they are covered with an extremely generous sprinkling of white fur, as is the entire house. But she's the best, so I don't mind it at all.
