2023-08-25 00:29:21 +0000 UTCEpisode 10 and we get some of the best scenes ever? This was season finale worthy, complete with a cool cliffhanger. Ok. Breathe. I'm glad Acker is out of the picture (I think he is) because every time someone said his name, I thought of Fred's cute face (Amy Acker). He's such an a**hole and I'm so glad that Wu was only surprised for a split second after he woged and then clobbered his rat face. Speaking of Wu, I loved the scene with Bud, of all people, showing Wu his Wesenoci..ty..?? I mean, Bud is Bud and we love him. I smile during every scene he's in and his nervous tangential speech makes me chuckle. I will say that I was surprised at the Buffy-level sexual innuendo though. I'm going to work ''I prematured again'' into everyday conversations, specifically over family dinners. I like a bit of awkwardness, it keeps people slightly nervous which feels ethereally electric to me. That sounds weird, but I'll leave it in. I usually dislike when the baddies are revealed to be some pseudo Neo-Nazi cult, but in this instance it works. They use German (and Latin) and the belief in purity of race/species fits. I'll be honest, those robes look cool as f*ck and I'd love to own one, although it's not really grocery shopping garb. Or anywhere garb tbh. Loungewear? It was a Wu-fest for me and his pretty quick acceptance of the reality of it all was an ''Oh thank God'' sigh of relief. I really didn't want a drawn out mini-storyline, although he needs to check with Nick about trailer etiquette. When it panned to him looking through the books and he grabbed some fries I thought ''What are you doing paging through ancient texts with greasy fingers??!!'' And then you basically said the same thing. Oh, and can you please not spill your large Mountain Dew all over the precious things? But the bestest part of the episode was the fight! I was surprised to see an armed Juliette rock up with the gang and start popping off shots and then popping a head after she woged <- best scene in the episode. And Rosalee getting deadly protecting her man. The whole thing was exciting. Really great cliffhanger with Juliette showing Renard her new Hexenbeast makeover too. Dak, I saw that you were drinking the Vimto energy drink, which I believe is fairly new to the market. How does it stack up to the brand you were drinking before? I've been buying the 19.2 oz cans of the sugar free Monster Energy Zero Ultra and I really love it. I take it with me to physical therapy and it helps quite a bit. Thanks Dak! Mom's spaghetti! (if you get this, you're really good)

2023-08-24 06:18:36 +0000 UTCI think one of the big reasons this show works so well, even with the not so great episodes, is that the cast truly feels like a proper ensemble. I wish I had saved it at the time, because I can't find it anywhere now, but I think it was Sasha who put up some funny behind the scenes clips of this episode. With the scene where they're all doing the bad ass walk down the hall, there were also scenes in between shots were they just looked like they were having so much fun, pretending they were walking down a fashion catwalk, and dancing down the hallway instead of walking. They looked like a group of actors who all truly got on well together, who worked well together, and who genuinely looked like they enjoyed coming to work together.

2023-08-24 00:21:57 +0000 UTCIt's been a long time since I watched this series originally and I completely forgot how good the show gets this season. I always loved this show even from the start, but with this season, it really feels like almost constant bangers back to back. I didn't really care for the christmas gremlins one a few back, but for the most part every single episode has been really, really important to the story. And now that we're at this point, I'm starting to remember some other moments from the season and I can't wait for some of them. I was late to getting to it so I didn't comment on the last Grimm post, but your reaction to the Juliet+Rosalie scene was gold as well. Thank you for the video, I'm looking forward to more :)
