Hello All!
I thought this was a brilliant season opener! Great twist with Terry Silver! I didn't recognise his voice and he looks so different now. Still got the long hair which I love haha. Robbie has made his decision and i'm real sad it's to work alongside Kreese! Seeing Johnny and Daniel trying to work together was hilarious and the ending was real wholesome too, I think this is gonna be a great season!

You talked a little bit about the fighting (I think Robby’s fight specifically in the cobra Kai dojo) looking better/ more realistic. I think you’re on target with that because I know they got a new fight coordinator at some point and I think it was season 4 - so good eye!

Sry dak my lips are sealed regarding Tory lol but her kicks in this episode was a thing of beauty. The phonecall recipient is revealed and many of us were hoping it was going to be him 👌 . Seeing hawk walking with the sledgehammer had me concerned first time I watched but fair play to him and it's great to see him starting to repair bridges . That ham good lord ewww🤢 food of champions you say lol not when it's dripping it isn't haha . Robbie Robbie what are you doing my guy 🤦 maybe a slice of ham might bring you to your senses 😀. 2023-08-22 16:30:15 +0000 UTCThis was a strong season premiere I thought, maybe even on par with the season three opener. I loved the arc it took with the two dojos at first separating but not progressing as much as you would think, only to then have all the students deciding themselves that they all needed to work together and become one cohesive team - albeit with two names. The scene near the end of all of them clearing the unused area made me oddly emotional. I miss being part of a team, particularly at the workplace. My favorite scene is the fight scene where Robby proves himself and even after Tory does land a foot to the face, she tells him to stay. But yeah, that scene had my heart racing a bit and no matter how many times I've watched the episode or reactions to it, it happens every time. I did feel a bit bad for Hawk when the others were ganging up on him. I mean, I get it, what he did to the dojo and especially stealing Mr. Miyagi's medal was horrible, but we've all done horrible things at that age. He's what, 16 here? It'll pass Hawk, give it time. Hell, Demetri got the worst of it and they're talking. Hang in there Hawk. ...of course I seem to remember commenting at the time that what he did was unforgiveable. 🤷♂️ Great unboxing segment! You sure had quite the haul and can't wait to see some drone footage. Love the Cat Cam - now we can help keep an eye on Scooby for you. I still hope for more Pokémon card openings on your second YT channel, or similar. Oh, and sorry, but I can't be the only one that will sometimes grab a slice of ham from the fridge and just put it in my mouth and eat it like Johnny did. Thank you as always Dak, I love getting an email and seeing a new reaction is waiting for me. I even started watching your Teen Wolf reactions and finished season one last night.

2023-08-22 05:13:39 +0000 UTCLoved this reaction. This is the season that really got me as there are plenty of story’s going on within the overall story. You have hawks continuing redemption. You have Robbie’s decent into cobra Kai. You have Daniel and Johnny trying to find a way to work together. There are other story’s this season but that will be spoiling so I will not do that. I too loved the ending of this episode with the students being the teachers for the sensei’s. Showing them how to work together by compromising. Also the unboxing at the start was epic. Much deserved gifts I must say. You truly create some of the best reaction content on the internet and I am happy you are being treated to some incredible tech and interesting gifts. Looking forward to your next reactions. Xx

2023-08-22 03:42:31 +0000 UTCNow that you’ve officially seen the reintroduction of Terry Silver played by Thomas Ian Griffith I can talk about the little Cobra Kai/ Grimm connection I alluded to a few weeks ago 🙂. Thought you might appreciate it since you’re watching both shows. Thomas Ian Griffith had stopped acting altogether I think after a certain point, until his return in Cobra Kai. But during the intervening years he had been doing a lot of writing. One of the shows he wrote for was Grimm - and he actually has the writing credit for the most recent episode you watched (4x9 - wesenrein). I happened to notice it a little while ago when I watched that episode ahead of you and realized you were going to hit that episode of Grimm in the same week you hit the season 3 finale of Cobra Kai when they essentially reveal that Kreese is calling silver for help. Hopefully I’m not the only one who thinks it’s an interesting link! 😊😊

2023-08-21 23:27:13 +0000 UTCI used to hate Terry Silver as a character, not for any story reason, just because he was so over the top and cartoony in Karate Kid 3 it was hard to take him seriously. I like that they threw in the bit about him being hopped up on cocaine during that time, explains a lot lol. Thomas Ian Griffith is actually one of the few cast members in Cobra Kai who is a legit badass, he has black belts in Taekwondo and Kenpo karate. I think Cobra Kai does a lot to redeem Karate Kid 3 with some of the call backs. Alli was right last season: Daniel and Johnny have more in common than they want to admit. They both are teaching karate in a good way, they are just coming from opposite directions. Johnny is teaching it more from a sports perspective, like a football or wrestling coach. Daniel is teaching it from a perspective of giving them life lessons. Both are convinced they are teaching it the right way, but neither will give an inch. For some reason, Daniel bugs me more. He really comes off condescending towards Johnny, automatically assuming Johnny is wrong. Daniel had such a great teacher in Mr. Miyagi, I just feel his lessons to Daniel get lost in the translation sometimes.
