I know I'm a bit late on commenting. Great episode as always. Just wanted to add that I know for a fact that Amit Segal who was interviewed by Isaac Chotiner on the New Yorker is also a closeted gay man. For me this is not a rumor, a close friend of mine, an openly gay man, slept with him a couple of times about 15 years ago. Segal cannot be openly guy because it would hurt his standing as a modern orthodox rabid right winger, son of a rabid right winger (his dad was a rabid right winger print journalist) on the most mainstream TV news company. Make of it what you want, but it does add a dimension to his ability to deny genocide and ethnic cleansing while simultaneously advocating for it in the open

Everyone I know IRL is a Trumper or a conventional dem without any angst about the economic aspects of our life experience. Many people I know are affluent and have access to family money and generational wealth and just aren't affected by things the way I am and I'm tired of feeling like I live in the "got the shit end of the stick" version of reality by myself.
