Wait. I had something more important to say. I was halfway through the second time I’d watched Tropic Thunder when my brother told me Robert Downey Jr was in it. I was probably like No Way! for an hour. And stared at him every time he was on screen until I could finally see it.

I don’t know how many people remember what was going on in those two days before 9/11. It felt like they had to do something to get back at us. I never asked for the money from that bet. Over the years, I’ve heard a lot of people state they had this same kind of knowing that something was going to happen though.

He was portraying an Australian actor doing black face, mocking the idea that Hollywood leaves so few leading roles for black men, that even an actual black man wouldn't be played by a black man.
