Premium 166: The Jam Band To D.O.D. Pipeline

This week we take a dive into the latest news about AppHarvest: specifically how they're not doing so great. Then we take a trip to Nashville to hear about the latest Dolly Good Deed. And finally we end with more vaccine commentary in the New York Times.

As to why we (mericasociety) go after each other during large-scale crises..? It's partially that systemic, democracy mythos [psy-op], 'the power of the individual' narrative that y'all enjoy railing on. (with good reason) Thought experiment: what are we gonna' do with all this baked-in governmental distrust after the rev?

Lmao... I, with no exaggeration, wrote my dissertation arguing that liberalism is a eugenics op

Y'all give such an interesting perspective. I need to be reminded that hating ordinary people for the decisions they make/stances they take is counter productive to the movement at large. However, I DO agree with vaccine mandates in certain situations. In New Orleans there's a vaccine mandate to eat at a restaurant or go to a gym (or you have to show a negative covid test) and that makes me WAY more comfortable going to work. It's gotten a ton of backlash but all the other restaurant workers I know are very happy about it.

Financial sector was collapsing again similar to 2008 in fall of 2019. COVID sure helped prevent another Occupy Wall Street movement. Also helped shame BLM protestors. Also helped wrap up the Democratic primary. https://wallstreetonparade.com/2021/08/the-fed-just-published-36-years-of-its-money-data-it-shows-a-spike-in-repo-loans-is-an-early-warning-of-an-impending-market-crash/

I live in alabama and even now there's hardly two white people in the whole state that wear masks out

Ive been vaccinated, so its not the decision I have made for myself. But I can't blame people for refusing the vaccine, particularly in rural communities in the midwest so devastated by the opioid crisis. We all just witnessed how the pharmaceutical industry deliberately got so many people addicted to opiates just so they could make a ton of money, with little to no oversight or resistance from the FDA. The pharmaceutical companies are not benevolent leviathans and people are right not to trust them.

Tom got me hooked on Subliminal Jihad and now I’m paranoid as shit and go to put you guys on for a mental break from it all, and yet…

sortition crank

you know who famously blazed the jam band to DOD trail? Jeff Skunk Baxter, y'all. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeff_Baxter#Defense_consulting_career

In Mississippi, the vast majority aren't masking up or getting vaccinated so, and it pains me to agree with someone from Auburn, they are most likely correct on that point. These folks around me ain't giving any fucks about Covid.
