Long time coming, eh?
It feels really good to finally get this chapter off my chest. It did feel bad sometimes while writing it. Mostly for the character whose point of view we share for the duration of this part of the story. Sinister, sad, sweet, but hopeful perhaps? I wonder how thick I am laying it on, or if you are still being held in suspense? The thrills and spills of writing when there are people reading. A blessing I thank you for every day.
I've been veering from working on the experimental series a bit recently, but with the draft of this chapter in the books, I can see the island in the distance and we have more than enough fuel to make it according to the guages. Maybe one more round with each of our mains and then perhaps a thrilling(?) conclusion.
Ha. I can't spoil anything here. Partially because I don't know everything that will happen. But this chapter is a bit of a brutal one. I write 'realistic' BE & PE, or so I claim. And this is one of those reality of the situaiton scenarios. I put a lot of effort into trying to visualize and share descriptions of those visuals, the mindset, and the grim reality of a character who has ended up in this state and also happens to not be in the highest standing with the person pulling a lot of the strings.
